The most recent game-to-movie adaption, as we know, is Silent Hill. While most video game adaptions fail critically, "Silent Hill" was an outstanding movie. It did turn out to be a love-it-or-hate it film (with the hate it side being most critics), but the point was that it pleased most fans of the game and horror fans in general. The mood and atmosphere, along with the theme, were adapted into the movie perfectly.
We, the undersigned, are asking you, Christophe Gans, to return for a sequel to "Silent Hill". It's story, atmosphere, and visual effects are just begging to be recreated into a sequel.

When I watched the movie of Silent Hill.. I felt like i was playing a next generation version of a game of silent hill.... the camera angles were incredible.. and it felt exactly like the games.

By all means it blew films like napoleon dynamite out of the water.. thing is, people loved napoleon and it was a horrible movie.I think everyone has lost their sense of good film making after the death of Stanley Kubrick, may he rest in peace.All that i ask for in this sequel, is that they go along the lines of Silent Hill 2, the whole psychological mystery was great. It's a shame that Christophe didn't direct Resident Evil. But maybe they'll do a TRUE re make of RE, and call it Biohazard instead.

The film added more mystery and answered many question about the games background but more questions are raised. What else has happened here in this town that built up so much evil within not just from Alessa but many others who were in torment and suffering in silent hill. I feel theres more to it. it is my belief that the sequel should either go in the direction of the games story in Silent Hill 3 and then if a 3rd sequel is to come should start back where they left off in the 1st film with Chris Desilva going back to Silent hill to find his wife Rose and daughter Sharon... Kinda like Silent Hill 2's plot line this would stay more true to the story of the orginal games as well. As well they leave you hanging in the end shocked and dumbfounded but also answers some questions as too how things worked in the world of Silent Hill. Cheers

I have beaten every game and after going through them all, seeing the movie was a must for me. The movie was great and I want to see how the other games will tie in to the next movie as well as what direction the movie will take. I consider it to be one of the most underrated horror films of its time, perhaps because it doesnt have the creepy little kid who falls down the well or riddles that kill. hahahahaha All that stuff is played out. Keep rollin with this style of horror movie. It may start a shift that will change the genre forever.

While it did lack with the inclusion of Bean's character and the killing of the cult. I do understand budget constraints and deadline played some part in this, as well as pleasing studio executives and test auidence. Next time i would go more with your instincts because thus far Gans has proven to have great instincts for movie making, making quite possibly the only watchable and in fact quite good video game based movie.

A student film-maker but an aspiring film-maker none the less. I enjoyed your work in most aspects of the film and have watched Silent Hill many times now. I realise I am not different from the avid or futhermore, the hardcore fans of this game but I would feel that having a second director to a film will not be as a great as the style you have brought to Silent Hill. I believe Silent Hill 2 (the game) is an emotional story and one of the best yet. People argue that Silent Hill 3 is a direct sequel and should be made, others say that Silent Hill 4 would stylistically be spectacular and horrific. But to me, James's story is both moving, terrifying, twisted and tragic and remains completly compelling. I realise everyone is different. And you must have your opinion but Silent Hill 2 is boith a great story and would serve as a great sequel if done simliar to the game. I don't know about you but seeing the red pyramid head rape a mannequin would be interesting! if you don't read this, then I'm really sorry. But IF you do, you should make this film! in the name of art! But I can't tell you what to do. I just would like a sequel.
