Nintendo would be foolish not to take such an opportunity such as Smash Bros. DS. A game like that for DS, would be sold out just like the Wii is sold out everywhere right now. They wouldn't be able to get enough of them into their fans hands. Especially with Wifi capabilities! Nintendo, don't past up the opportunity!
The DS is perfectly able to handle the graphics of a Smash Bros game, and with Wi-Fi and stylus control, it would be easy to create ideas. I say go for it! ^^
I hope this comes out, Smash Bros. DS will put it WAAAY ahead of the PSP, it would also be good if a realistic racing game would be made, with graphics at the DS's FULL potential, not just a bit, if it needs more power, they can make an upgraded graphics expansion to stick into the GBA slot...
I had a dream, a REAL dream. In my dream I went to go to toysrus while we were on a road trip with my fathers business partners. so we went into the store and the video game section was MASSIVE. so I started looking through this crate full of games. and was trying to decide which one I would get. then I stumbled upon a game titled: SUPER SMASH BROTHERS DS! I immediately knew that was what I was going to get.I showed it to my father with exitement and as usual he didn't really care. so as I stood in line to buy it, I looked at the back of the game and my eyes zoomed in on the picture which turn into a game trailer for the game. then I woke up and said to myself oh my gosh! that would be the best game ever! and whaddya know, i go on the web and found this petition spot so here i am!
i think that super smash brothers is a great idea for the ds and it should be mainly modeled off of the n64 version. other n64 games did great on the ds due to its capabilities. the touch screen may not be very usefull in a fighting game but there could be mini games that replace break the targets and so on.
I think the probolem with having to go to Wireless every time you need to do multiplayer gaming is hogwash :P That would only be a probolem on a train, but if our friend has the game and your together, it would be easy (wthout the mess of tangling controller leads :P ) also, the 2d probolem isnt a probolem, Super smash brothers (at least, super smash brothers 64 and Melee) are both 2 dimensional despite LOOKING 3d, they are completely 2d if you think about it. I really do belive that this game is possable and it would be a stunning experiance to us all...But you have to have Peach :D
it can work out really good the dpad for movement, the 4 right side buttons for attacks and jump the LR for shield and dodge, and the touch screen for dmg and stats as well as a mini map so u won't get confused where your enemies are
I am planning to buy a portable gaming system and don't really know whether to buy the psp or the ds. If i knew that a super smash bros game would be coming out for the ds i would buy a ds for sure.
The potential is there, Nintendo just needs to tinker with the graphics or what not here and there and the game should be good. I dont expect this until next christmas since you should be focused on Brawl/Galaxy/Kart/Fit/etc .
I don't think this game would work. It would have to be 2d, basicly crap as single player just to do have it like everybody wants. To do multiplayer it will have to goto wireless mode each time you want to play.
That would be an amazing idea! The only sort of probolem is character selection because Smash does Token usage but they could just use a d-pad or touch screen system aswell as maybe just a window selection. GO YOSHI :P
I support this because the gamecube had an awsome version of it and i would like to see it be used to its full potential on the DS. Please make this a reality
I have had a DS since they came out and ever since i got one i have been waiting for super smash bros. for the DS. I have been waiting for years and i dont see why there isnt one already out. It was one of the best games for gamecube and the 64 so why not convert it to DS.
please, for love of god! I want to play SSB portable!I've played SSB64 a little on my PSP.. but its 2 times as slow as in the normal N64, so I really want a full speed portable SSB DS..
