Mosque in Sheepshead Bay

The point of this petition is to establish a ground between Muslims and the community where Muslims are able to practice their belief in an Islamic environment. It is a shame that the community has the utmost indecency to decree that a mosque should not be built in the area. The Muslim population is increasing tremendously in Sheepshead bay and they should be allowed to build that mosque without any hastle. It saddens the Muslims that have lived their for so long to witness for themselves in the daily news how much hatred there is for Muslims in the community. Well I want to put a stop to this nonsense. Isn't this a land of freedom and democracy? We will finally put our foot down.

I woke up one morning to find flyers posted everywhere around the area. Now is it really necessary that muslim kids in the neighborhood have to be exposed to that kind of curiosity, humiliation, and inconvenience? I think not.
The flyer says:
Say NO to mosque at 2812 Voorhies Ave. Why? We anticipate problems with the following:
Security issues:
Organization behind the project:
1. Was founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States.
2. Has a goal of establishing an Islamic State in America.
3. Has a troubling history of associations with radical organizations and individuals that promote terrorism, anti-Semitism and reject Israel's right to exist.
4. Support terrorist groups such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Hezbollah.
5. Encourage suicide bombings.

Now is this the kind of indecency everyone should be exposed to?
That Muslims encourage suicide Bombings?
And what's funny is that their references didn't come from the Qur'an, it came from the Jerusalem Post!

Every One has the Right to practice her/his religion, and we are in the Country that support that.
Any concern or Issue will be discussed with the officials to avoid it, and we have the right to build it according to the Humanity, USA Law, and NYC Regulations.
