The only way to get the club out of the current situation it is in is to increase the funds coming into the club. I propose setting up a scheme via the trust where all fans can give £10 a month by Direct Debit to the trust who can then open and sustain a communication channel with the board to keep the subscribers (fans) informed each month of what the funds have been spent on. The funds accrued through this scheme would be primarily used for the playing budget, i.e. transfer fees and wages, with an agreed amount between the fans and the board used for exceptional emergencies after communication with the trust if necessary. Also the board would have to agree not to decrease the playing budget as this is meant to boost income to the club not to have the current playing budget diverted elsewhere.
The subscription would be for a minimum of 12 consecutive months, as this would allow the club to know what it is getting and budget the funds. If enough sign up, ideally 4000+ then this could make the difference between having a club to support or not as things currently stand, and at the very least will bring everyone concerned with the club closer together.
