Please, for the love of all that is held holy on this green Earth, just stop it, stop the Clana now. If the Powers That Be had bothered to make it fun and interesting (oo, maybe even *logical* and semi-plausible!) while they were shoving their *pathetic* excuse for a storyline down our throats then ok, yeah, maybe. But what we're getting in these eps is unendurable *crap*, poorly written and moronically presented. Beatin' that tired ol' horse ain't enough, one week they pour salt in the wounds, turpentine the next. Yeah, right, and my incentive to keep tuning in would be what exactly? Having my intelligence, good taste and willing suspension of disbelief insulted? Because 'pointless', 'boring' and 'stupid' are not things you want yer hardcore fans saying, out loud, about the show they *want* to support.

Frankly, as a Lex/Lana fan, I'm extremely disappointed that the fantastic potential between these two has been squandered. Michael and Kristin have fantastic chemistry, and they were the main reason I gave the show another chance after being bored by the early-season Clana relationship. Now I've had to give up the show again since they've ruined one of my favorite onscreen couples. It's about time the PTBs realize that there are other fanbases out there besides Clana fans.
Can we say two characters that have shown ZERO growth? Two characters that have learned NOTHING, have changed NOT AT ALL, and who have never treated each other well, and have shown no signs of ever changing in their behaviour towards one another? The relationship never worked for a gzillion reasons, and NONE of those reasons have changed or gone away.
It is an insult to the viewer to have to put up with this nonsense. STOP IT. Just stop.
One thing I don't appreciate is dishonesty. Gough said that Clana was dead and that by the second season they had found it boring, so why on earth would they bring it back again, after both characters, Lana and Clark, were making bigger strides to move on from one another? Must the fans keep enduring miserable barn scene after miserable barn scene, be flooded with secreths&lieths (or well, I guess after the fiasco that was, "Promise", I can really use that example any more), just for the sake of pleased the little Clana fans out there? Honestly, I perfer quality over this angst guilt ridden always doom to failure ship, that they keep shoving down my throat. And still I keep watching, because Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kreuk keep me coming back. If it weren't for the two of them and the sweet promise of something actually working between the two of them, their obvious on-screen chemistry and the few beautiful episodes we got depicting their on-screen character's love for one another, then I would not even be watching. The whole point of this show is supposed to be Clark Kent progressing into Superman and hello, his love interest is supposed to be Lois Lane and Lana Lang is certainly supposed to be nothing more than jsut a blip on his high school radar. He's not supposed to exhibit stalker tendencies when it comes to her, he's not supposed to pine after her, when he's got such a greater destiny out there. Not to mention, there's Lois. She's feisty, calls him on his crap when she's around and doesn't let him get away with anything. Little miss Lana, gives into him. It's a repitious cycle of crap and I'm tired of it. Please give the proper respect to Lex&Lana and Clark&Lois, like they deserve and just end this Clana stuff.

I became a Supes/SV fan last October/06. I've watched every ep til the lastest - and I did like CLana in the first 2 seasons but I believe they are stronger characters apart from eachother. They need to move on and grow, if the show keeps pulling Clana back Clark's journay will not progress, and I'm sure most of the fandom will dislike Lana for that reason. Please for the show, the characters, the road to Superman, the actors (I'm sure they're sick of their angsty scenes) and the fans sake; STOP THE CLANA!
Instead how about some flirty/bickering CLois? Or focus on Chimmy? Less angst and more cuteness plz.
Clana was fine when Clark and Lana were still sophomores in high school. They're in college now (or they're supposed to be anyway) and Lana is MARRIED...to someone ELSE! Please, please, please, for the sake of the show, let both Clark and Lana move on. This show could be so much more interesting if it were actually about, y'know, Clark's journey towards becoming Superman and not pounding away at a horse that died about three seasons ago.
If the show can be saved for those who are still watching. I stopped watching during the fourth season because I was so sick of Clark and Lana. If I could get a promise that it were over and done with for good? I might tune in again.

It's just sad now and kind of pathetic that these two characters aren't aloud to grow and mature enough to let go of the relationship. To keep dragging it out makes it kind of obsessive and scary, not cute or epic.
Clana has pretty much sucked dry every bit of love I once had for this show. In the early seasons it made sense, even if it was never a pairing I liked. It was even nice to see them briefly together in season five. But at this point it is just RIDICULOUS! Stop making Clark look like the biggest stalker/idiot on the planet!

The Clana really should have ended completely in season three or four. After that it became tedious, and now it completely degrades both Clark and Lana to drag it out further. This season I was really hoping they would do some character work with Lana and really make her a person and a cool character, but by bring her back to the destructive obsession with Clark, they've not only made Superman a pathetic, obsessed stalker, they are GLORIFYING the relationship with a obsessed stalker. I'm not really interested in Chlark or Lexana. I'm interested in character growth and good storytelling. The story they promised us. The tale of how Clark Kent and Lex Luthor became the iconic figures they are. Instead, we only get boring, less then soap operatic quality scenes over who Lana will choose. Give her more dignity. Hell, give them all more dignity and stop the Clana once and for all.
Your characters have better things to do than pine over one another. i.e. saving lives and stopping crime. Or...buying something pink if you're Lana, I suppose.

After six seasons of Smallville I think the show has went through this very boring relationship to the point it could possibly go and it's time to move on to bigger and better storylines and character development.

Clana only ruins Clark's character, and it doesn't do Lana's character any favors either. I don't understand why the writers would keep pushing the pairing when it makes them both look like such horrible, heartless people. They're not right for each other, and it makes them both look stupid for not realizing that.
Al Gough himself said Clana was like "beating a dead horse" way back in season 4. The horse is much deader, and far less appealing to the fans, in season 6. It's time to move on from the dead and rotting carcass of Clana, guys!

Clana was boring the first 57 times we had to sit through it. The 58th time isn't anymore interesting. A small, but vocal portion of the audience want Clana to continue. Well, they can go read Fan Fiction. The rest of us want to see Clark Kent and Lex Luthor as they head towards their destinies.
For the love of Superman & Lex Luthor's dignity, please let Clana/Clexana die. After almost seix seasons, we now have a Superman that is still 15 years old and stuck on vapid, uninteresting Lana. Please don't let Smallville's contribution to the Superman fandom be reducing two iconic characters to fighting over an uninteresting girl in Lana Lang.
