The Clana story has been overrated a long time. I feel like the writers have overdone this storyline waay too much and it's getting sickening. Can't they think of anything else more creative? We all know Clark

Lana and clark have over stayed there welcome it was fun the first few seasons but with Lois Lane there it is time for Clark to move forward with Lois and his destiny, with episodes like Hydro and Crimson Clois needs to happen soon please end Clana.
It was old a long time ago, and now it's long gone into being simply ridiculous. You can't keep playing Lana off as Clark's 'true love' when Smallville is a prequel to an older story where he's paired with Lois Lane. It doesn't work, it doesn't make sense, and it doesn't create any sense of suspense or interest in the pairing. It just becomes frustrating and reduces the characters to being moronic and juvenile idiots, and halts their character development. Please, just stop.
Clana is ruining the entire series at this point. The Anvils producers have thrown fans show that Clark is at least starting to notice others, namely Lois. While I can understand their inability to actually start Clark/Lois due to the state of the SR franchise, I think fans would take anything over Clana.
CLANA must die. What's the point of it? All it does is make Clark backtrack - not move onto his destiny. He's so obsessed with her that he doesn't seem to care about the "Zoners" he released. Lana has even made Lex Luther dopey. This must stop!
It's getting old, when i first watched it i liked clana. Now it's done, there's no love, it seems like it's being dragged out, so boom, it should be done with, it seems so out of place.
yes please stop the soap opera and get back to clark growing up and becoming superman. I think you'd have more superman, comic book fans watching if you switched of the angsty relationship stuff, most importantly the yo yo Clana. I am quite sure there are more Superman fans then there are Clana fans, but right now we refuse to watch because of all the teenage drama. They aren't teenagers anymore. So let the show and characters grow up.
Too many Years of this crazy,childish Clark/Lana puppy love. It holds no one's intrest anymore. It is killing the show. I fast forward through all of it now because I can no longer tolerate it. It's very sad that a show I used to love has become less then a 15 min event that I can't help but roll my eyes through. The show is just such crap now. Lex was the PERFECT character and now your trying to mess him up right along with the mess you've made of Clark/Superman.
Please fix it. And I might consider finishing up my Smallville DVD collection. I stopped at season 3 because I could tell the show was going in a direction that I just hated. I WAS RIGHT! Witch possesed Lana... OH PLEASE! I hate to say that this is the only TV series that I most likely will not have a full DVD collection of.

Oh god, yes please. This was old way back a long time ago, by now it's just disgusting. I never liked Lana particularly, but even my friends who like her are sick of this ongoing drama between her and Clark. Personally, I think if we moved on, Lana could become an awesome character if we weren't always dealing with the same plotline over and over again between her and Clark. Right now her character only exists to further a plot that NO ONE wants to see anymore. Please, spare us. Let the Clana die, and stay dead, for the good of the characters, and the sanity of the people who are still loyal to this show.
It's common knowledge that the true love of Clark Kent's life has been and always will be Lois Lane. The fact of the matter is they have been married in the comics for over 10 years! Enough with this stupid drama and angst about Clark pining over Lana!! Clark acts as if he could never love anyone as much as he loves Lana, but once he and Lois get together in the comics (and the movies!), he actually loves her more than life!
It's time to end this insanity and let Clark have a little be of dignity. His character the way he is now with his constant pining and whining, is not very likeable at all. This is not the Clark Kent who becomes Superman. It's been going on for six years. Enough is enough!

Yes please stop with the Clana. The shows ratings should speak for themselves. The drama of those two together is over and has been over for months, if not years. The beginning of season 6 showed a great move forward for clark starting to accept who he is. Justice was a highly rated episode and show cased Clark how we all want to see him. The super hero he will become. I am not partial to any shipper, but certainly am tired of seeing Clark cry over Lana. especially since according to mythos she was his high school sweetheart. High school is way over. So clark should be moving past Lana. As Lex should be moving closer to being his nemesis. Lets get this show back on track please!!!
As the show continues and the time goes on. One thing is for sure, there never really was a Clana relationship, only false dreams built on false premises such as when Clark lost his powers. Its because Lana can not love Clark for all of him, just him. Her attraction for him is only like a bloodhound on a scent. She only wants to know his secret. Once she has that she will move on. She is much closer and calculating as Lex. However they both are plotting. She will always be that first crush. The problem is that there is nothing deeper there. They aren't meant for each other... never were. With everything that has happened they aren't even really a what might have been. Clana has turned out rather quickly to be about two people on distant separating paths trying to find something uncomplicated, yet even in that they aren't and they know it. The uncomplicated relationship in the sense of how a couple interacts is Lois and Clark. Not only because of the mythos but the actually chemistry between them that flares up without an effort to be dramatic or complex. They are who they are... two people in love... Lois and Clark is the true romance of Smallville/Superman and Superheroes in general... CLOIS forever and counting ;-)
Ok tptb. I think we are all very tired of Clark whining about Lana. She used to be drama queen - and still is- but now she is proudly sharing her crown with BDA Clark. He is going to be Superman for Christ's sake! He should be growing up and becoming a MAN. he is still the little boy who had a crush on her neighbor - which he didn't even met until later. Except that now it isn't a crush. it is a freaking obsession that is leaving him in a very embarrasing position. I know he is supposedly be in the process of becoming Superman and he still has a lot to learn BUT, the values and moral are supposed to still be there. Going after pregnant and married women. NOT the Clark Kent we all know. The writers are completely ruining his character. It is a shame really. The show has become a teen soap and they are wasting good and potential storylines with Lois (background, show more invetigating )and Chloe (become independent of Clark, relationship with Jimmy, the cousins love). They could do so much but yet, they don't. They are stuck with the Clark and Lana quasi-relationship. It was ok for the first couple of years but Clark is not a teenager anymore. He should have grown. Heck, JK died and all his death got was 1 episode when Clark got all angry. Clark and Lana break up and they get more than 10 episodes of stupid-drama. TPTB, read this:

I do not understand the vulgar cursing by sigs 531 and 532. Also they just SIGNED the KILL Clana petition. Not one non clana person has been as childish as those two sigs. There is no reason for cursing. Most sigs are asking for clark to grow up and be superman, not just begging for another shipper. Those two sigs are absurd. We want clark to stop being a whiny boy and start being man. and BTW Clark and Lois and MYTHOS. It may not happen on Smallville, but it WILL happen. Clark marries Lois not Lana. I used to love this show, but now I'm just starting to get tired of it. This nonsense ought to have been wrapped up about three seasons ago. Thank you for posting this petition. I think the Powers That Be have taken too many liberties with this relationship. I understand they have alot of restrictions with Lois & Clark but they should not sacrifice it for Clana. The problem is that Clark's feelings for Lana have never ever been as deep or emotional as they are depicted on the show. It's actually blasphemy and they need to make it right again.
CLOIS is 70 years strong and I only started watching the show because Lois Lane is on it. If she was to leave, I would drop the show quick.

We’ve seen what the writers can do when Clana is out of the picture- remember JUSTICE? Or even CRUSADE, or GONE? Those three were some of the best episodes of the show, and guess what? No Clana. No Clexana. Just Clark saving people, INVESTIGATING, actually becoming more like the iconic Clark Kent/Superman- heaven forbid for that to ever happen again.
Destroying Clana for good will lead to more of these great episodes, episodes that actually have continuity and believable characterizations. Episodes that might actually make people sit up and say, “Why haven’t I been watching this show?” Rather than, “Oh. So that’s why it only gets 4 million viewers.”

It's way, way past time for this self-centered, manipulative girl to be the center of the Smallville universe. She has never been worthy of the hero's obsession and to continue that now makes the supposed hero look and act like a moron. Why does Clark want this selfish girl who makes unreasonable demands and berates the him endlessly and never gives him the support he needs? Why would the producers think we want to watch this nonsense, made even worse by Clark ignoring the one girl who does support and sacrifice for him like no one else? Lana is an unpleasant character on Smallville just as she is in the comics and it was a boneheaded move to puff up her importance to the point that it has ruined the show. I have always considered Lana (hangs out in graveyards and talks to the dead parents and hey! Took DRUGS to kill herself so she could see them!) a borderline psychotic anyway and a terrible friend much less girlfriend material but her behavior in Tresspass and later in the horrible, hero's character destroying, Promise should have proved to anyone with two functioning brain cells that she is a nasty piece of work and deserves to be called to account for her actions and then kicked to the curb by Clark. Hopefully, with yelling because she deserves it and the audience wants to see her get what she deserves at long last. And, let's have the hero on his knees apologizing to Chloe for his insensitive and ignorant behavior toward her all these years. End the Clana NOW.

i think continually including her in episodes where she is completely surplus to requirement and only serves to thwart clark's bigger purpose, is highly detrimental to my enjoyment of the show. she's become eye candy and nothing more because that's how badly her character has progressed: the damsel-in-distress who clark is obsessed with routine is tired and boring, and more to the point cringeworthy - he's in his 20's for god's sake - not a love-struck teenager anymore!

I originally tuned into smallville because it featured Clark Kent and focused heavily on the early relationship between him and the man that would become arch enemy. That totally evaporated and the show has become about finding ways to make LANA relevant. Enough is enough. Lana Lang was never more than a footnote to Clark's story. Lex Luthor is the intricate and life-long relationship that Clark has - for better and for worse. Can we PLEASE get back to focusing on that?

When the show first started i was all about Clark and Lana getting together but now i'm so tired of it...they turned what should have been a beautiful relationship and first love into a relationship that makes me cringe everytime i see them in a scene together...the writers need to move on from the clana drama and let them become friends like they do in the comics...then maybe people will start to like Lana again...because i think it's sad that people don't like her or Kristen because of the character is written. PLEASE STOP THE CLANA DRAMA!
There's something to be said when Lana is able to make her relationship with Lex last longer than what she had with Clark. Clana just might be the most unhealthy romantic pairing I've seen in a series, and not even in an entertainingly dark and complicated way. It's just bad and redundant all around, and it's basically keeps either character from growing up. With Lana, Clark is unrecognizable from Superman, and with Clark, Lana de-evolves into set dressing. In real life, a relationship like this would have been dead and buried a long time ago; it's only due to "Smallville's" writers that it's being dragged out to absurd and interminable levels. Please, for the love of God, just let dead horses lie.
