"300" was a chest-thumping, homophobic, racist, steaming pile of revisionist bullshit. Sure, it's artistically pretty, sure the battle was thrilling -- but without honest content, what you have is a pig drenched in perfume. SO, yeah, if you're mindless, then you LOVE this movie. I for one, hated it. "300" was nothing more than 'Birth of a Nation' dressed up nice and pretty so that white people could feel good about watching it.
it is just a movie. i guess i can see how you could possibly be offended by the portrayal of the persians in the movie, but it was done for the effect of making more of an impact on the viewer. It is not a personal attack against persians everywhere. the "good guys" in the movie were the spartans and the "bad guys" were the persians, one way to make that support that idea in any movie to show who is the good guys and who are the bad guys is by the look of the characters. making the persian army hairy and ugly or whatever is just for the effect of the movie it is not saying that all persians are ugly. some of them are, some of every group of people are ugly. maybe back then they only chose the ugly people to be in the army while the beautiful people stayed in persia and reproduced to weed out all of the ugly people. and considering how much you are all bitching about how the makers of the movie are discriminating against you because you are persian, you all seem to be picking on the Jews an awful lot.

whoa listen here buddy any moron with half a fucken brain can realize most events in that movie isnt true have u ever fucken seen any of the weird shit in that movie in real life i think not u ignorant prick but the movie portrays Persians as a dominant race of man in military numbers and the fact that once 300 greeks (like my self) stood against them and faught till their deaths glorifies the persians from a military stand point, and the spartans portrayed as freaking gigantic fearless killing machines is to make sure the viewer(which now a days are to slow to understand wit and the clues a movie leaves to carry itself) realizes how secluded spartan society realy was and how it was a race built to be perfect.
