We here at Rhea Mobile Home Estates are very concern for the safety of the children of Rhea Mobile Home Estates since the paper came out about an Criminal Sex Offender ,Gary Doyle Kelly who lives right across from this Mobile Home Estates.
Which is located here in Opp ,Alabama on Rhea Avenue.

The children of this Mobile Home Estates use to play out side before we knew of this Sex Offender living so near.Now this Mobile Home Park is silent no sound of children playing any where.This is not right for the children to have to stay inside and not enjoy being a child and be able to play in their own yard and have friends over to play with.

This man whom is the sex offender lives less than 30 feet to the children bus stop when they are picked up to go to school or let off from coming from the school.

We would like for this man to be asked to relocate since he lives so close to this School Bus Stop and the children of this Mobile Home Estates.
Their is signs up in this trailer park to watch for children at play ,which by the codes of the Alabama Section 15-20-26

No adult criminal sex offender,after having been convicted of a criminal sex offense involing a child, shall loiter on or within 500 feet of any property on which there is a school,child care facility,playground,park,athletic field or facilty,or any other business or facility having principal purpose of caring for,educated,or entertaining minors.]

SOUTH HIGHLANDS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (Students: 515; Location: 503 BROWN ST; Grades: PK - 4th grade) is 000.9 miles from Rhea Mobile Home Estates and where this man lives also on Rhea Avenue.
It states he can`t live 1000 feet from a school,so this school is safe I guess.
But our Mobile Home Estates isn`t.
We want to ask the Major of Opp ,Alabama: H. D. Edgar to ask this man to relocated far from our Mobile Home Estates so our children will feel safe again and can go back out side to play.
