Please save this show! The last show this good (also pulled too soon and also Sorkin) was Sports Night. Not everyone craves violence, action and insipid writing-- snappy dialogue, likeable & believable characters and a few moral dilemmas thrown in are what some of us need for entertainment.
Please do not cancel Studio 60. It is a show that both my husband & I look forward to every week. As soon as we watch an episode we wish there would be another episode the next night.
Please don't cancel this show! My entire family tunes in together to watch this show! It's smart, witty and creative. One of the best shows I've ever seen!
NBC's new shows this season are extremely strong: Sat Nite Lites, 30 Rock and Studio 60. NBC is doing the best work on TV. Don't cancel one of your gems.
I love Studio 60 and I don't think that this show should be cancelled! Its fantastic and I watch every flippin episode! I will miss it when its gone and screw The Black Donnelly's!!!
The show is just coming together and things are just getting good. NBC needs to put the time and effort into making this a great show. The potential is there. Canceling the show is a huge mistake. I hope you reconsider.
This is one of, of not THE, best written shows on TV. I wish for once the execs at the networks would give a well written show that doesn't beat the audience over the head, and actually challenges an audience to think, a chance. Move it to another night, or something. They are killing one of the most literate shows on the air.
This is by far one of the best shows on television, and one of the few shows that asks its viewers to think. Here's hoping that the executives at NBC are smart enough to keep a show on the air that doesn't cater to the lowest common denominator of its target demographic.
Studio 60 is a good show. Unfortunately there are only so many time slots for it to air. At least on TV. The problem with shows like this is since it doesn't fulfill EVERY expectation NBC has it gets dropped. Of course one could argue these expectations are based on an antiquated rating system as well as an old media delivery mechanism (tv). So you can't fault NBC for trying their best to determine what show should air that will optimize their return, given the current way we get our media (and the current way they rate it). But, considering how difficult it is to develop good content nowadays I would like to make a recommendation to NBC. If you can't find a time slot for it, let this series live and grow on the web. My guess is NBC would get better feedback as well as give their advertisers a better bang for their buck (I tivo, so other than limited product placement in the show itself, I see no commercials). ....I usually don't voice my opinion via letters, email, etc. I just found it hard to believe NBC would drop this show. It's as if whoever made the decision never actually watched the show.
Please do not cancel Studio 60! I'm signing this for my husband. This show is the only show that he just can't miss. And he is not a big TV person. I've watched the show too and I think it is brilliant!!!!
This is by far on e of the best, most engaging show on television. Please reconsider taking it away from those of us with a brain and a heart. NBC, you need this show.
I could not believe it when I heard the rumors about Studio 60 being cancelled. Then I found this petition to save the show. What is NBC thinking. This is the best show they have. It is watched everyweek in our house. I laughed so hard when the dolls eyes popped out....
I really hope that this effort works. This is one of the best shows on television. NBC needs to know that REAL PEOPLE watch this show, and not the mindless morons that stare blankly at reality television, thinking that they have a chance to win.
I rarely have the opportunity to watch television, but when I do I find myself watching the NBC network. I have found that Studio 60 is a wonderful program that makes me laugh and is highly entertaining. However, if you choose to cancel this program I will discontinue watching all your programming. I know I am not the only one to consider this my only option. I truely hope that you take into consideration keeping the show, even if it's only for a summer lineup. Thank you.
This is one of the most witty shows on television. A nice mix of humor and drama. This is one of the only shows I watch each week and one of the few shows on NBC worthwhile to watch. Please keep it on the air and try it for another year. So many possibilities.
I don't watch a lot of television. I find most shows pander to the lowest common denominator and expect the least from their audiences. Studio 60 is an exemption to the above and would be missed in our home. It is the only NBC programming we watch.
Please reconsider. The emotion on this show makes us cry - the humor on the show gives us tears of joy. This show makes you realize what really does go on behind the sceans. Our household loves this show!
Can't agree more with everyone - please do not cancel this wonderfully written show to make way for more reality shows! It is the best new show to premire this season and deserves a chance.
I think the intelligence of this show is threatning the America's Idiots. If it is lame and a Reality Show the executive will keep because it works. NBC this is about your past please dont cancel this witty show we dont have very many of them left.
If this show is cancelled, it is a prime example that television networks are not interested in creating intelligent programming. It will show that HBO and Showtime have that market cornered.
My husband and I, and our 18 year old son, look forward to this show every week and we can't believe it is in jeopardy of being canceled. It is absolutely the smartest, most entertaining show on TV right now. Studio 60 is classic, well-done TV, with a great cast and story lines and should be given a chance to continue, even if it is on a different day or time slot. Please don't cancel this show!
I have never signed any kind of petition but am truly sorry to see such a quality show get cancelled. If there were only 2 moments that the show gave us 1. Judd Hirsch's monologue in the first episode and 2. The New Orleans musicians playing during the Xmas episode...why those thoughtful moments deserve acknowledgement and support. Like many others here... I don't get it and am disappointed. Hope the network sees everyones responses and reconsiders.
