Studio 60 is the best show on television. If I could watch only one show every week, this would be it. The writing is smart, the characters are great. Please don't cancel this show. Take a note from Amanda Peet's character: the show may not bring in as many viewers as some crappy reality show or way overdone cop show, but the viewers it has are well-educated spenders who are yearning for good tv. Find a better time slot if the ratings aren't what NBC thinks they should be, but don't part with the one good drama/comedy to come along in years!
Instead of canceling the show, how about trying some advertising and maybe a new time slot... The show deserves a chance - and needs a BIG CATCHER to attract new audiences.
It should air when Heroes is in it's off season if that competition is what is killing it!
A Nielsen target of less than 10,000 is no way to measure the popularity or value of a show. With Tivo, DVR, DVD-Rs, and even VCRs, there's no way to measure the appropriate ratings for this show or any show. Don't cancel something that's intelligent and innovative. Save Studio 60 or send it off to HBO where it can flourish without network hassles and impossible ratings comparisons.
This is a great show - just try a different time NBC - it's smart, edgy, quirky - All of the good things that so many shows lack! Please save Studio 60!!!!
This is a great show with sharp intellegent writing and a great cast. Since West Wing was cancelled it's the only show on NBC I tune in for. It may take a viewership with some brains to get the storyline and the jokes but these are the same views that kept West Wing up in the polls for 7 years. Please, Please keep Studio 60 on air
My son's 21 & 20 along with myself just love this show. It is wonderful to have such a show to watch with them. The writing is amazing & it would be another stupid mistake for this show to be cancelled. Please listen to people who appreciate great television - this show is the tops for us.
This it the best adult show on the air since West Wing started - it is smart, funny, well written, fast moving, keeps you watching -PLEASE DON'T CANCEL IT!!!
Don't cancel a show that is smart in a new way and replace it with something that a person with an IQ of 50 can understand so you think more people will watch!
Studio 60 is one of the best shows on television today! Smart and funny, great story line and an all-star cast. Cancelling this show is a huge mistake. Why not try to drop some of the mind-numbing crap that's dumbing down Americans today? How many reality shows do we need??? And if it came down to the choice between watching Studio 60 or Heroes, I'd choose Studio 60 in a heartbeat.
This is the most intelligent show on tv. NBC is getting as bad as every other huge conglomerate. Everything must be 1 note only. I've given up on almost every NBC show. The L&O franchise is past its prime. If it wasn't for Chris Noth I wouldn't watch any at all. Crossing Jordan's new characters are just annoying. I watch Heroes, as a sci-fi fantasy fan, and Studio 60 because I'm an effete, intellecutual who appreciates good writing and acting, and a plot that doesn't depend on blood and guts. You guys destroyed Bravo with reality and reruns. You put wrestling on SciFi! You don't put the good shows on On Demand, and the ones you do put you charge for. You killed Farscape, cancelled SG1. The only NBC related shows left to watch are on USA and occasionally SciFi, but you'll probably kill them as well.
When you make a promise to show an entire season you need to do so. IF you cancel a show, you need to say so and not play with the fans. I wouldn't watch SNL if you paid me, but Studio 60 was a joy!
It is amazing how much the show reflects the real world, NBC is not willing to take a chance and stick with a superbly written intelligent show because of bad ratings in the first season. It shows no loyalty and just how fickle a television station can be. They would rather dump this show in hopes of making quick cash off The Black Donneleys, a show which we need no more of. There are no other shows like Studio 60 and with its cancellation I will find one less reason to turn on NBC, actually make that none when it comes to that station.
Change the time slot or change the day, just don't cancel Studio 60. This show has an outstanding cast and great storylines that need to continue. Love the show and I DON'T want to see it go!!!
Most talented cast, great writing. Please don't cancel for just another cop-ghost-nobrainer-conte st-zombie TV show. Remember all the good shows go to cable or satellite. NBC should take note and realize who they will lose, the spending consumer. Wake up NBC and keep "Studio 60"
TV needs shows set outside of lawyer and police settings. This show is intelligent and funny. The conversations between characters is interesting. The bit in last nights show with the guillotine was maybe the third time I have ever laughed out loud while watching TV (and I was a loyal fan of Friends, Frazier, All in The Family, Mash and the Dick Van Dyke show).
I feel bad for Aaron Sorkin. TV has become a place for mindless crap (i.e. every single reality program airing), and his smart, quick-witted writing just doesn't fit. I love this show. It's 'West Wing' for the entertainment industry. Can't blame the people at NBC for cancelling it...TV is a business like any other. Unfortunately the only way to make money these days in this particular business is to cater to the feeble-minded, middle America who don't like to think. And one more thing...I loved ER back in its hay-day. but now, the show is garbage. One way to save Studio 60 is to stop producing a $12-million-an-episode show like ER, and clear some room in the budget for good shows that people actually watch.
This show is great and deserves a chance! A+ writing, A+ acting, D- time slot. Please take the gamble NBC, 'cause I'm sure there's many viewers like me that appreciate a good all around program and are sick and tired of reality frickin' TV!!! It'll be worth it in the long run with this talented cast.
My teenage daughter and I LOVE Studio 60! The writing and acting are terrific. Please keep this show on as a nod to viewers who want TV that is both entertaining and smart!
This is one of my all-time favorite shows, and that's saying a lot because I'm a TV buff. The writing is the best I've seen on the boob tube in a very, very long time. If you axe this show, primetime television will be a wasteland of meaningless drivel. Please support intelligence and excellence in writing, acting, and directing by keeping Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip on air. Perhaps consider moving it to a different time slot. This show definitely has a huge audience!
I would like to add my voice to all of the others to say please do not cancel Studio 60. It is the only network show I watch because of the great writing. It is intelligent and does not pander to the lowest common denominator. Please find a new spot for it and give it another chance!

I am so tired of shows being given half a season to become popular. Many shows have needed a couple seasons to grow an audience. Please give Studio 60 a chance, it has to be one of my absolute favorite new shows.
I love this show and watch it every week with my husband. Our other intelligent, perceptive friends also love it. I agree the timing is bad for the audience-move to another time and actually promote this well-written, well-acted drama if you want to increase viewership.
I don't watch much TV anymore and will watch even less if you stop this show. Give it more time. Please. At least let the season finish as previously promised.
I LOVE Studio 60. This is easily one of my favorite shows. During last nights episode I was laughing so hard that I woke up my 7 year old son. This show is intelligent and a riot. I hope that NBC will finally give a good show a chance.
I love Studio 60!!! I'm not much of a TV viewer but I am definitely addicted to this show. It brings out so many emotions out of me and that tells me that this is a great show.
please don't cancel studio 60 it is a wonderful show with a smart story line and great writing it would be a shame to loose it, remember M*A*S*H had low ratings at first and found it's audience
Please think twice about canceling this great show. I'm already annoyed at how NBC cancelled Conviction last year... please NBC don't do the same to this show.
This show needs to stay on the air. I can't take losing a smart, well-written show to the usual drivel that passes as entertainment for the mouth-breathing, lowest common denominator. We've got enough idiotic TV. Save the good ones.
If cancelled, I hope every one of 60's viewers start boycotting the products that advertise on NBC. Heaven forbid an intelligent show remain on the air.
Studio 60 is one of the few shows on network TV that I actually watch every week. Please don't cancel it. Cancel ER and put Studio 60 in its time slot!
In this day and age Seinfeld would have been cancelled within the first few weeks. Great shows grow and the audiences find them.
we get 75 channels and the best things to watch like Studio 60 are lost to knock offs and reruns of c.s.i. vs. s.v.u. survivor's race.
