I would love to see a second season... and many more to come. This is one of the smartest shows on television. Cancelling it is a huge mistake for your network.
Do not give up on this show yet! The writers have just got into their stride writing funny and fantastic storylines for the characters we have grown to love. Plus the relationships on the show are great and the actors have great chemistry. Writing Amanda Peet's storyline into the show was a stroke of genius and I really want to know how it turns out!
I watch 5 shows weekly, and I must say the one that i most look forward to watch is S60!! I meant it!! And the other shows are Heroes, House, Psych and Boston Legal, so they're not small shows!!
I'm seriously thinking about not watching Heroes anymore as a boicot if S60 gets Shelved!!!
So Please Keep this show on!!!!
PLEASE DON'T CANCEL!!!
as an almost 40 mom i don't have time to watch much tv...but this show i love. between kids, work, church, volunteering, committees, etc. i make time to watch this show.
DON'T CANCEL...PLEASE!!!
Studio 60 has everything that I love most about great TV: intelligent writing, a talented cast, and the perfect mix of drama and comedy. It would break my heart to see it gone so soon.
Many people will be devastated if the show is taken off the air. My son and I look forward to Monday nights because of Studio 60. Normally, I don't bother with the junk that's on TV. Please keep Studio 60 on the air!
Studio 60 is the best show on television. Aaron Sorkin has created a wonderful world of characters which are brilliantly brought to life by Bradley Whitford, Matthew Perry & co. We all love this show, please do not cancel it. Don't pay attention to the Nielsen's they count how many people watch adverts not how many people watch tv shows. A lot more people are watching this than you think. There were sites created on the internet before it ever aired. You have a loyal fanbase, please don't disappoint them.
The phenomenally talented ensemble alone should be enough reason to give Studio 60 the greenlight, and the show is gaining more momentum with each episode. Instead of cancelling it, NBC should focus on marketing it; inviting new viewers to discover this brilliant little show.
'Studio 60' is a wonderful show that deserves to at least finish out its first season. It has had its issues and some difficulty finding its ground but the recent episodes (especially '4 AM Miracle') have been excellent.
This is the ONLY show that I make time to watch. A mustn't miss. It is clever, entertaining and easily the best show on TV at the moment. Don't leave us with nothing but TV for the labotomized.
This is ridiculous...I'm 22 and am tired of having pathetic teenage dramas and reality/game shows shoved down my throat when all I want is intelligent humor, organic characters, and compelling storylines which is exactly what Studio 60 offers. Honestly, this show could earn better ratings if it were only given the full ad support of NBC and a suitable time slot. Please, let's give Studio 60 another try.
The show has great writing with amazing talent. There are too many shows on going for the cheap laugh and obvious jokes. The situations on the show are great, the comedy is smart. America needs smart comedy these days. When the trend turns back to this style, you'll be kicking yourselves.
This show should not be cancelled.
Studio 60 is a wonderful, pithy show that deserves a shot. Maybe the reason no one is watching (though, I am betting more people are watching than are being counted) is because the show is never promoted.
Once again, network TV is pandering toward the least common denominator. It seems that any thoughtful show written for an audience with more than a eighth grade education doesen't have a chance. Too bad, what a bunch of idiots!!! Such a sad state of affairs. I wonder what's on HBO?
NBC used to be my must-see TV, but now Studio 60 is the only NBC show I watch. PLEASE don't take away this smart, entertaining show. Give it the gift of TIME!
Please do not cancel Studio 60! I only watch 2 shows and this well written ensemble show is one of them. Change the timeslot if you must, but do not leave us hanging after last night's episode. People who enjoy a well written script with good dialog need something to watch in the TV wasteland!
I love this show. It seems like every time a show comes a long that people love, the networks pull it. Networrks believe a show should have 70 billion viewers since day one and if one viewer leave to go to the bath room the show is over. We like the show. Leave it alone.
DO NOT CANCEL STUDIO 60! It's fantastic. Move it's timeslot. If it's away from CSI: Miami and not after a show targeted at teenagers then it will work!!!
I don't understand why this show is even being considered for cancellation, its smart writting and a great cast, and there are enough people watching it, if you just stop looking at the rating and realize that there are a lot of people who Tivo it, or watch it online, as you have allowed them to do. Stop looking at just the numbers, I bet like Sorkin said that there is at least a hidden 10% that aren't even being counted. Save this show!
Don't cancel Studio 60. It's so nice to have a show around that believes its audience is intelligent. Change the time slot, explain why the heck Harriet is such a "crazy" Christian, clean it up but the skeleton is amazing. PLEASE DON'T CANCEL.
I am in one of your highest target demographics. DO NOT axe this show. Please reflect on the demo of those of us who watch it, not to mention the million or so bump in viewership the show gets when you include the "live-plus-seven" DVR ratings. Best show of the season, just get it away from "Heroes"...why not try it alongside another adult-oriented show, such as a lead in for Law and Order Friday nights?
I almost didn't watch this show because I didn't think I would like it. I'm glad I gave it a shot because now it's my favorite show. Give it more time to find the right audience.
Please bring it back!! Studio 60 is awesome and Matt Perry is hilarious. Is this because Amanda Peet is pregnant and will take a break from the show? Make her character go on an indefinite trip and find the dude another love interest. Gee whiz :s
Please don't cancel Studio 60. It is my favorite show and I watch a lot of TV. This is the only show of it's type - smart, funny, unique, romantic w/o the schmultz. C'mon NBC, get a clue!
Finally, a intelligently written tv program. And you want to pull it why?
I applaud the writing, the cast.
Studio 60 is a brilliant show! Don't can it!!!!
This is the one show per week that's "must see TV" for me. It's smart, it's funny and hands down better than anything else out there. It's getting better and better - give it time.
You cannot feel like you've got better choices from top-to-bottom in your schedule.
Also, how can you ask this, well-educated and well-paid, demographic to give your the show great drama a chance when getting wrapped-up is just the precursor to the next one of these petitions? How can you expect someone to start watching the Donnelly's or anything else if we can't depend on you keeping your end of the bargain. I won't be watching anything new on NBC until the complete first season is out on DVD...at least then I'll know I'll get a complete first chapter - anything else is really a stupid thing for anyone with half-a-brain to do.
Give the show a little more time. It can take a while for viewers to get used to an ensemble show. Please don't cancel it. Last night's show was great.
I am 55 years old and I do not watch very many of the big serial drama's on tv. This show however keeps me entertained week after week and with the amazing cast and writing it is just great! keep it on the air!
C'mon, Kevin Reilly. It often takes quality shows time to grow an audience. Even if they're overly-hyped before the season. The show has a good, solid, core fan base and with the right time slot (ie. not following a show with a completely different demo) it could flourish.
Studio 60 is the only show out there that I watch religiously. I do however think the show is in the wrong timeslot to win the audience that would find it most appealing. In addition, may I remind you that Grey's Anatomy, one of today's biggest shows, broke late mid-season 2. So stay the course NBC. All I can do is watch; the rest is up to you.
This is a great show for the mature audience. If they take this show off, it is telling us smart people to start watching another channel or stop watching tv all together. Is NBC trying to be the network for the illiterate, or the educated?
I don't get "hooked" on a show very often, yet Studio 60 had me. It is smart and funny. I am very disappointed that this has happened, please put it back on.
Having largely ignored TV these past few years, Studio 60 is the only reason to come back. Give it time and more people, like me, will find it. Then you'll have a hit on your hands.
