Studio 60 is one of the best shows on television, and I think they should give it more time to develop an audience. I would be extremely upset if Studio 60 was cancelled.
This is a smart, funny show. A show for intelligent grown ups. There are so few (okay no) others left. Please don't cancel it. Don't succumb to the "wifeswap" loving crowd. Please keep this brilliant show alive. An audience will come. It would have for Sports Night too had they given that a chance.
This is a clever and well-written show. I'd be disappointed if it gets taken off the air completely. Cancelling it is not the solution, since Studio 60 has a good audience (an intelligent too, I'd like to believe). Move it to a different time slot, different day and see what happens. Also, don't show an episode one week, then go on hiatus and show a few more episodes before going on hiatus again. That will certainly not help keeping the viewers around. DON'T CANCEL THIS GREAT SHOW!
How could you cancel this show? It's the best thing you have going. Perhaps if you ran it everyweek rather then week on one week off, viewers could get into a better routine with it. Move it to Wednesday nights
This is a quality show. Instead of cancelling it try moving it around or giving it better advertising. Don't just give up because there are a lot of us that really enjoy it.
This is one of the only shows on network TV that's worth signing a petition for! Please don't underestimate your viewers, or you will eventually lose them all to HBO.
Studio 60 is one of the most intelligent shows on TV. It's funny, brilliant and thought-through. Don't cancel it. Give this show at least the chance of a full first season.
No more reality tv! Focus on this show and not the other junk tv you have got going at nbc. You gave Seinfeld a chance and look what happened! We the viewers are smarter than you give us credit for.
Please don't cancel this show. I love it and I think the acting and writing is great. It's intelligent, which is different from most shows on today. Don't screw up another good thing NBC.
NBC: Quit trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator. There are those of us that are educated with lots of disposable income to throw at your advertisers. I'm beginning to think NBC wouldn't know a decent show if it bit them in the butt. Remove your head from that area and promote Studio 60 and keep quality entertainment on the air.
It's all too uncommon to get a wonderful program like this one on the air, and NBC should be proud of it. Please show us that you are still TV people and not just a bunch of bean counters. accountants. Please find a home in the schedule for this gem.
Some of the finest writing on television. In a sense, it picks up where 'The West Wing' left off - Aaron Sorkin writing absolutely captivating entertainment. Stop feeding the lowest common denominator (can you say "Deal or No Deal?)! Thoughtful people like to be entertained too!
Please give this wonderfully talented cast a chance to gel, and respect that there IS a demographic which appreciates good writing. A new time slot is in order, for sure! Please allow Aaron Sorkin's fine writing to have a platform in an otherwise barren landscape. Do the right thing.
My husband and I love and look forward to this show as much as we did Sports Night. Please don't cancel a show just because it is intelligent and not reality dribble like Trading spouses et. al.
This is one of the very few shows written by intelligent poeple FOR intelligent people! Quit trying to make Sorkin write standard-issue TV drivel; I liked the "insidee baseball" look at running a TV show just fine as it was. And give the show a full two seasons to develop. The pressures put on Studio 60 by the bean-counters almost guaranteed the show would fail, because the Lowest Common Denomonator *still* wasn't going to watch, while the show's true target audience quickly grows impatient with being condescended to.
This show is unique in its' intelligent wit and complex characters. It's time to give a well written show a chance, instead of catering to the lowest common denominator. Take a hint from "Firefly"
Please don't cancel this show! You put it on after a show that doesn't match it's target audience, opposite an established show, and on the same night as Monday Night Football. Then, you don't run it consistently in it's time slot, and the tiny amount of marketing you do for it promotes it as a 'comedy' when it's actually an ensemble drama with comedic overtones. So, when it doesn't become an immediate hit, you cancel it? There are only 2 new shows this season that I watch and NEVER miss - Studio 60 is one of them. Studio 60 is one of the most original shows I've seen on TV, AND it appeals to actual ADULTS! It's funny, serious, and intelligent. If you cancel it, I'll be begging Warner Bros. and Aaron Sorkin to take it to a network that will appreciate it and give it time to build the audience it can build if given a chance. Like perhaps CBS.
You can't do this to me... Replace it with a show that is advertised as from the writers or "Crash?" The most contrived, horribly written screenplay of this decade... I live for Monday night at 10:00. This is the only show that doesn't dumb down to the audience. Please do not stop Sorkin from writing these well developed characters. A single scene in this show is more enjoyable than most hour long programs.
Please do not kill the only show with an IQ higher than that of George Bush. I will not watch a show about gangster thugs, that is filled with gratuitous sex and violence. I love Studio 60. It is the only thing that I am watching these on television.
This is a wonderfully intelligent, well-written show. Please don't cancel it just to put more reality TV crap on the air. Give it more time to find its stride and its audience. Please!
My favorite show, and the only one I make it a point to watch. At the very least, allow it to complete its season. Years from now, it will be considered a classic, if you don't kill it prematurely.
Please don't cancel this show. Those of us who prefer intelligent TV need to be represented. I will not watch the Black Donelly's, so put Studio 60 back on please.
i love this show!! i look forward to watching it every week and i think that maybe if it were in a different time slot it would do better. A lot of people don't really know about it or how goodit is becasue they just didn't watch from the beginning. PLEASE NBC put some more work into it its an awesome show!!!
As with many shows (i.e. Firefly to name one, Networks are far to quick to pull the trigger on freshman shows...never giving them a chance to reach their stride. Writers need more time to get a "feel" for their audience and the show in general. NBC stuck by Scrubs even though the first season was a fairly sophomoric ride not deserving of much attention...but they signed it for a second season, and it's steadily become a very good comedy. NBC should also remember that West Wing wasn't nearly as good it's first season as it was up until the last one. They gave Sorkin a chance to up his game and turn West Wing into a highly entertaining drama that is still missed. NBC should look at these kinds of factors before pulling the plug on Studio 60...Give Sorkin another swing!!!
Please do not cancel this show! An all-around funny, intelligent and entertaining show such as Studio 60 is needed to balance out some of the other crap shown on TV today.
"Studio 60" is hands down the best show on network television right now. If it's not holding its lead-in from "Heroes", it just means it's not a good pairing. NBC should at least try it in another time slot before giving up entirely.
This is one of my favorite shows. Please reconsider keeping it.
Also this isn't the first time you have pulled a show I have enjoyed. Just because only 1 millon people are watching your show and not 4 million doesn't mean we don't count! If this keeps up my family and I may have to consider not watching NBC shows because they seem to pull them off the air without any warning.
Please don't trade in intelligent and hilarious writing for a set of brothers stealing, fighting, chasing women and shooting people. God forbid the script was not simple enough for the average Joe. So let's dumb it down a bit, oh wait, here comes the Black Connelly's. This should quench the thirst for idiocracy. Yeah! We are a hit again. NOT!
