This is one of the best written shows on television and canceling it would be a big mistake. It's one of the few show's that funny and genuinely entertaining without trying too hard to be, please don't cancel it.
I don't watch much network TV, but I make sure to see every episode of Studio 60. Well written, and very entertaining, please find a way to keep this show on TV!
I enjoy studio 60 and while there is certainly some strong competition on Monday nights it is s how I make sure not to miss. I hope it continues to air well in to at least another season
Studio 60 is by far the best thing currently on television. It's the one show all my friends Tivo and the show we talk about when we get together. Bradley Whitford is phenomenal. Sorkin is always incredibly smart and funny, but Studio 60 is also sweet, heartwarming and endearing. It's the only show I bought the entire season of for my iPod. Please don't cater just to the reality show audience. There's a big group of us who CRAVE high quality intelligent programming, something we get VERY little of (Studio 60 and The Closer). This is the only show I currently watch on NBC.
I am a college student, not your target demographic, and I love this show. Don't let Deal or No Deal and other shows of that sort bully Studio 60 off the air. This is an intelligent show for intelligent people, relocate the show to a different night. Fantastic writing and acting make for good television, Studio 60 has it all.
I think the problem is they have it following an Action/Adventure show. Totally different audience base. (Not to say anything abad about "Heroes" which is great. It is just a different sort of show. What they are doing is like they had followed the Cosby Show with A horror movie, Or the West Sing with a reality TV show.) They should move it to the 9 o'clock somewhere or at least have it follow something else, even a reality show.
Studio 60 is an excellent show and NBC would be premature to cancel it without trying it in another time slot. My wife and I LOVE THIS ONE. gl Studio 60.
I have been looking forward to a show in which Matthew Perry can shine in - and boy does he do that. He brought me to this show and indirectly introduced me to some other great actors I had never appreciated before (ie Bradley Whitford). The ensemble is fantastic.
This is an excellent program with a terrific cast and stellar writing that I look forward to every week. Please, bring it back from hiatus, put it at a timeslot that isn't pure death like 10 on Monday, and for the love of all that is good and holy, don't cancel it.
Save quailty drama on tv! This is a wonderful show that needs a better time slot and more money put into marketing it. Get the word out! You have a hit just plug it a bit!
Seriously, I will not watch another NBC show for the next 5 years if Studio 60 is canceled.
It's far and away the best show on television right now. I don't have a Nielsen box, but I download every episode off iTunes and will buy every DVD of the show. NBC would be crazy to cancel it.
Please, Please do not cancel this show!!!! Matthew Perry is spot on in this role. The show is actually intelligent, and funny in a non-obvious way. It actually, God forbid, makes you think. I love this show, I have faithfully watched every episode, and it would be unfair to just end it like that. At least give us a proper series finale!! Actually, forget the finale, JUST KEEP THE SHOW!!!
Some people say udio is in trouble, some say it's not. I'm not sure whom to believe, but in case it is in trouble, I want to add my voice to those asking you to keep it on the air.
Saturday Night Live hasn't been this funny in over 20 years.
I LOVE THIS SHOW. Please don't cancel it. I don't think I have ever liked a show more than this one. It makes me laugh (constantly with it's zingers) and has great storylines. Please don't take away the only show I choose to record so I can watch each episode at least twice. :) Thank you!
I was dumbfounded to find out that Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is to be cancelled. It is the ONLY show that I tune in to watch on a weekly basis.
Please reconsider!
This is one of the best new shows of this season, and it would be a huge disservice to NBC to cancel it... This is the show that made me start watching NBC again after Friends ended. It's beautifully written, terrifically acted, and overall phenomenal. Please don't cancel it!! BRING IT BACK!!!
To whom it may concern,
I was extremely dissapointed to learn on Monday that my favorite new show, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, is most likely being cancelled. I think that this decision is entirely premature, and I beg you to reconsider. Studio 60 is simply too good to be abandoned in such an undignified manor. This show has such incredible potential, and Sorkin's genius deserves at least a full season to get things going. I understand that the show has struggled in the ratings, but what other possible outcome is to be expected when it has been placed on hiatus so frequently and upredictably? I believe Studio 60 will find its audience if it is only given a reasonable chance. I thank you for your time, and I hope the characters that have made my Monday nights so enjoyable will not be gone for long.
Sincerely,
Mike Richmond
Loyal Viewer of Studio 60
Studio 60 is one of the best shows on television. I don't watch TV much but I always watch Studio 60!!!! The intelligent and fast-paced humor deserves to be kept on the air for those who don't care about dumbed down tv shows! This is a quality show!!! Please!?!
Please don't let smart TV die, Studio 60 represents what is still possible in good programming. Sorkin brings to us the best in rich meaningful smart and intense worthwhile entertainment. Please do not let this show die!
This level of writing and acting is scarcely seen on TV in the "crap culture" that is prevalent these days. Studio 60 has true quality in both, and you will be seriously remiss in removing this show from your programming lineup.
This is a fantastic show. DO NOT CANCEL IT!!! Of course it's going to have some ratings trouble, since you opened it at Monday night @ 10pm. Monday Night Football is still airing at 10pm in half of the country!
You can already tell that, like the West Wing, this show is thick with atmosphere.
this is probably my favorite show at the moment. the cast chemistry is amazing - you'd think they'd been working together for years. and the writing is hilarious. give it a chance! at the VERY least, finish out the full season. i would still be EXTREMELY disappointed, but at least there would be a minimal amount of closure.
Please don't cancel "Studio 60" for "The Black Donnelly's." Don't cancel it for anything!!! It is one of the best shows that's been on TV in years!!! People don't need another crime show. We already have 50 CSI's and 50 Law & Order's. Don't cancel a show that's different and refreshing for one that's been done 1000 different times. You are making a HUGE mistake!!!
Studio 60 is one of the few reasons to still watch your ridiculously LCD-based network. I guess if you cancel it, it won't be the most inadvisable thing the network has been affiliated with, though (hmmm...I'm thinking the GE/weapons manufacturing connection).
Aside from my local 11pm news on NBC, Studio 60 is the only NBC show that I watch. It is brilliant and , hang on, INTELLIGENT!! Studio 60 is finally giving viewers that don't care for crime drama and reality shows (yes...We do exist!!) a reason to watch network programming. NBC, you need to rethink this possibility--given your current ratings, can you really afford to lose intelligent viewers with disposable incomes????
Dear Programming Executive:
I can't tell you how depressing it was to read that you might be cancelling "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip." It might not have as many legs as "Deal Or No Deal", as many mean-spirited Englishmen as "American Idol," or as many bugs crawling through dead people's hair as "CSI: Miami," but it has great writing, great characters, and no doubt a great future of which everyone at NBC would be proud as a peacock... If just given a chance!
I would like to respectfully plead for the life of this show. It doesn't deserve to die. Please don't jump the gun and pull the plug [insert your own colorful idiom here].
PS: I will never watch "The Black Donnelly's." I have a feeling it's another crime drama... how utterly original.
Sincerely,
Tammy Talpas
Clever writing, talented cast in a program that is meant for a audience that craves real drama and not one dimensional fluff that is on every channel these days. Return Studio 60 to the schedule or lose me forever the dvd and other broadcast outlets. Are you listening NBC?
Come on NBC! Each people that watch this have more money than people that watch Heroes! Its a "richer" audience! So the 6 million people watching it its like 10 milion in regular audience in comercial sales in the breaks!
