DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW!!!It is the smartest show on TV...smart shows on Tv are beginning to be an oxymoron...please, listen to these viewers and keep the best show on TV...ON TV!!!
S60 has earned and deserves more time, perhaps in another time slot. NBC used to be the model of patience in letting a show develop. Please bring it back. I assure you TBD (interesting coincidence "To be determined" vs. "The Black Donnellys") will not be getting my ratings - and yes, mine count.
I cannot believe that they dumped the best show on TV. I find it ironic that the exact reason that they expressed in the opeing show, the dumbing down of TV and America, is the reason that this show is being dropped. Why can't there be a show for literate people who actully enjoy intellegent writing? TV puts out so much garbage (ex. reality TV) that they have a responsibility to include some intellegent programing as well.
This is an intelligent, cleverly-written show aimed at people with an intelligent, clever sense of humor -- GROWN-UPS -- AND WE'RE WATCHING!!! Save this show! We're tired of teenie-boppers and 20somethings with T&A and fake tears cluttering up primetime. We've got Las Vegas for that :-) Respect your audience and the dollars will come.
OH NO !!! Had I any idea of the possibility of Studio 60 being cancelled, I would not have deleted the original episodes from my DVR - especially the Christmas Show... That Christmas show has to rate in the top % of the best prgramming ever on network television. Please bring back Studio 60! Also - we need to see the remaining episodes that have already been completed. This is an extreme disappointment - Oh how I wish I could recapture the shows I deleted... Huge mistake on NBC's part.
I love this show and believe it's suffering from inflated expectations and a bad time slot...let's be honest, not everyone who loves "Heroes" would love "Studio 60". How about 9pm Thursdays? The office would be a PERFECT lead-in!
Hard to believe that NBC's advertisers would choose to exempt the well-educated and high-salaried demographics that faithfully watch Studio 60. NBC I believe you're doing yourselves an injustice by pulling such a high quality show. Please consider another time slot and marketing this superb show in the way it deserves. You'd choose the greed of "Deal or No Deal" over creative, witty and intelligent writing? Shame on you !!
This show is refreshing and different. Some of us are tired of watching knockoff after knockoff of mind-numbing garbage. Please keep this wonderful show on the air!!
Studio 60 is the only TV show I truly anticipate watching each week. It would be a shame to see such an intelligent, witty show go off the air. The actors are fantastic, the writing sharp. I would be extremely disappointed to see the show cancelled.
with all the reality garbage on tv these days it was nice to have a smart and witty show that actually entertained me. way to cancel one of the few good shows you had going for your network or any network for that matter.
Don't kick Studio 60 off the air. In our time of reality shows and the same recycled crap, this show gives viewers a chance to enjoy creative writing, witty humor, and interesting story lines that will catch the attention of many. Change the time slot, give it at least one more chance to show viewers how great the show really is.
Please do not cancel this show. I will find it and watch it no mater what time they need to move it too. It is much better than the mindless garbage that is seen on other channels.
If Studio 60 is done, I am finished with NBC. I hardly watch any shows on that network besides Studio 60. It is good, high quality entertainment. Please do not dump this show!
I like the show. I hope it stays. I am a big West Wing fan. But I didn't start out as a one. I came along in like season 2 and caught up. The 1st season still doesn't have my favrite episodes. I think it took time. They had to clean up the story and tighten the characters before hitting stride. And for most fans to become loyal with a large cast show it takes time for them all to grow on you. Toby and Josh became some of my favorites, but only after long exposure which allowed me to understand who they were and where they were coming from. I often disagreed with the politics of the characters/show, but I loved the show because it was well done. I now own the series.
I don't think its fair to expect Studio 60 to be the West Wing. It's a different show, and I don't think this has been given enough time or the right promotion to hits its stride. Give it a better or less important time slot and let it refine and hit it's stride.
Studio 60 - has an awesome cast wonderful writing.... and gives the viewers something to think about in a smart way.
NBC please don't dumb down your programming to the masses. Smart people need something to watch too.
If Studio 60 is cancelled I may stop watching television for good. Finally a show that is not relying on it's stupidity to get laughs, and look at what happens to it.
Do we really have to cede all television to the likes of shows such as American Idol? I am increasingly leaving television altogether. I either read, or watch old movies I have recorded using my DVR. The ratings fail to count those of us who turn the television off for good reason. I should be the ideal consumer demographic, but advertisers will have to find a way to reach me between the pages of a book. Studio 60 is one of the few shows I have enjoyed - please keep it.
This is one of the best shows on TV right now and is the only show on NBC that I watch. Heaven forbid a network keep a show that is both intelligent and funny. Please don't cancel.
I don't watch much tv - personally, I think most of it is all the same. The writing, characters, story line, and lack of tasteless humor makes this show the only one I take the time to watch during the week. 10pm on Monday's is the only time you will consitently see me watching tv (Studio 60, for the non-intellect)
Dear N.B.C. do you really want me to stop watching your network (except Thursday night from 8-10 of course) This is the best drama on T.V. It needs a new time slot though. Do not cancel this show!
Can we please preserve one of the few intelligent programs left on TV? We Tivo this one so as not to miss it. The quick-witted banter is unlike any other show on the air. The cast has got a rare chemistry for being so new.
Don't make the same mistake that was made with Sports Night. Studio 60 is the smartest show on TV. Please give those of us not drowning in our own drool something to watch - Fox already shows enough garbage for the mouthbreathers.
I love this show! The Neilsen's don't mean jack. I don't stay up to watch (time slot stinks), but I ALWAYS record to my DVR and watch later. How many other people do this? This is great TV--don't cancel!
Aaron Sorkin, Matthew Perry, Bradley Whitford...those are reasons enough not to cancel. Please bring back Studio 60. People with taste and a brain deserve it!
NBC has not given the show a chance. It is fantastic, but it is just in the wrong timeslot. Please give the show an opportunity to shine!! Finsih the season, re-run it like crazy over the summer in an earlier timeslot and give it a go next season!
