Studio 60, like so many other shows, has not been promoted enough, and due to this not many know about it. This is due in part to the horrid time spot given to it, no one has time on Mondays for good television. The West Wing did wonders on Wednesday nights, try it there. Don't make a big mistake.
My wife and I watch this show together every Monday (until today). Dont' cancel, and please do renew for a second season!! Even if the ratings are not what you hope for them to become, you need to make a small 1 hour concession to the viwers who need an alternative to reality TV, crime dramas, etc. Please bring Studio 60 back!!
Please do not cancel one of the smartest, funniest shows on TV. NBC has been losing since and now they want to cancel one of their very few creative shows. Sounds genius.
Please do not take Studio 60 off the air. It is a wonderful show. I will NOT watch The Black Donelly's so you've just lost a viewier if you don' bring Studio 60 on another day/time, something.
Finally an intelligent show. Outstanding acting, great writing, all the elements & nothing is being blown up and people aren't being shot! Gee what a concept. Please do not cancel!!!
This show is the only show I watch on Monday nights. It's funny, smart, well written, and keeps you wanting to come back for more. If this time slot isn't working change it to another night, but please don't cancel a show that could have a long life.
i'm italian and i love matthew perry.
and also i can't watch this show,i support matthew and his show.because he is a great actor and his show are funniest,ever.....
NBC just has to look at their past history, show like Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere & TWW that were not big rating grabbers, but look at the emmys won, the unknown stars that started out from these shows, i.e Denzel and Howie "deal or no deal" Mandel. The potiential for everyone in the Studio 60 supporting cast ensembal to become superstars.
This show was the only reason I watched TV on Mondays and now I won't be watching Heros. I am hopefull that the execs at NBC get this message. "Smarten" up the content with good shows like Studio 60. The drivel that is on now makes me think there is a effort to prevent the masses from intelligent thought.
My favorite show on tv this year. Intelligent, funny, thought-provoking, and well written. My workplace consists of people from the ages of 18-66 and out of the 30 I spoke with, 25 love the show.
Keep this show. If it's not doing well on Mondays, move it to a different day... it doesn't matter where, as long as it's on the air and I can get my Studio 60 fix every week.
Please Give us Intelligent television and not another hour of Law and Order or another medical investigation drama....this will go down as one of the bigger follys in NBC History....trust me ABC Was dumb to let sportsnight circle the drain ....dont kill studio 60 put it on another night please!!!!!!!!!
Studio60 is a great show. It deserves to be saved. Very well written dialogue and smart, intellegent characters are few and far between on tv these days. I say "Less Deal or No Deal and MORE Studio60!!"
It's a waste of energy typing this, since networks never seem to pay attention when contacted directly by fans. Look at Angel, whose fans organised BLOOD DRIVES to signal their devotion to the show - the WB paid no attention whatsoever. Networks care about nothing but numbers, a point made repeatedly on S60: it's easier and more profitable for them to pander to mediocrity than it is to produce something worthwhile and make an investment in getting people to watch it.
Studio60 DESERVES its time to gain momentum and ratings. There are still people enjoying a show that doesn't embody the political temperature in an obscenely in your face way. This show is one of the few that will allow the viewer to actually think about the situation on screen and not spoon fed what they are to think. Yes, it's comedy, but being in a behind the scenes vantage engages us in a way that lets us see what REAL writing means and how things develop to bring it all together for a weekly skit show. Leave it alone ! Let it grow !
common i know you probably dont like the srcastic picture of your selfs but thets not a reason to cancel something thets smart a funy in the smae time...i havent seen such gr8 show fro a long time
This is a great show and has the opportunity to grow into something great. I do think it would receive better ratings if it played on a different night. Wednesday and Sundays would be much better.
Here's my question: Does NBC want to stoop to the level of other networks and pander to the basest desires of their basest demographic? Or do you want to produce quality television that makes people think?
Remember that Homicide didn't get good ratings at first either, NBC. How well did that pan out for you? Numerous seasons; crossovers to Law and Order... Think outside the box. Keep it on.
I love Studio 60. I loved it from the first ten minutes of the first episode, and I haven't been disappointed since. I am so offended that it might be cancelled. If Studio 60 is cancelled I will seriously consider a personal boycott of NBC. I don't think that even The Office would be enough to restore my respect for the corporation.
I live in Australia and I have to download this wonderful show to watch it and needless to say that when it does come to air in Australia I will watch it again and also buy the dvd's when they come out. In short this show is one of the only intelligent shows on the air and it looks as though it will suffer because it may not apple to the lowest common denominator (you know... morons)
Studio 60 is the smartest (not to mention most entertaining) show on TV right now, closely followed by Weeds.
If there's no room at NBC for a smart drama that doesn't pander (dumb romantic storylines are pandering) -- then this isn't the network for me.
I was watching your ads, NBC, but I won't be until Studio 60 returns.
