There are times when decision making must be based upon quality and not just quantity. NBC, Studio 60 is an articulate, artistic production filled with talented actors and incredible writing. It is television at its finest. You campaign on “making a difference” nothing supports that philosophy like quality programming. Don’t throw away this quality production; make a difference for individuals outside the Neilson’s rating drudgery. Studio 60, its artist, writers, and production crew truly deserve to stay on the public airways as an example of your networks commitment to excellence.
It might be hard to argue with NBC's financial models, if they're not getting the ads.... but this is my favorite show on the air (modulo 24).... and I am in my late 20's and make lots of money...
I had finally found a show that was at an intelligent level I had not seen on t.v. in a long time. My hope is that most of america is as smart or smarter than I am. Please keep this show on the air.
This was one of my favorite shows on television, right next to Heroes. The writing was good, stories were complex and multilayered, some of the most intelligent writing on television. Why do they always axe the good ones instead of having the courage to support good television?
What i don't understand is why they would just stop playing the show w/o any warning at all!! that's so stupid! i love this show and i really hope NBC realizes they made a mistake!
Watching this show makes me want to work in the business. I was actually depressed when a friend told me that it was likely to be canceled. Why take away a show that brings so much wit and humor to a dull and lifeless prime-time scene?
studio 60 is my favorite show on television. the cast is perfect and thier is no better writer in television or film or on the stage than aron sorkin. if studio 60 gets taken away because of some stupid show about irish brothers (one of which is the gay kid from sandlot who can't throw a baseball with his limp wristed arm) i'm gonna be pretty pissed at nbc. i mean come on, nbc yah really cant afford to get rid of shows that do have intelligent fans to make room for shows with highschool dropout fans!
Ever since I first watched Studio 60 a few months ago, I have been hooked. It is one of the most unique and intelligent shows on television. Canceling this show while leaving ones like "1 vs. 100" on the air only contributes more to the dumbing down of this country. Please keep Studio 60 on!
I have never posted about TV before but want this show to stay on the air. It is great writing acted by a great cast. The only flaw is anyone who would attempt to 'retool' such talent in some attempt to appeal on the short term. Great work will find it's own audience (and has with me). There is more to TV audiences than 'Neilson'.
Although this show wasn't perfect, it was better than 99% of the mindless c*** that's out there these days. Smart to a T, it was always a pleasure to watch.
Owning a hand-me-down 12" TV and watching two hours of TV a week (if that), I realize I'm an atypical viewer. I do, however, religiously watch Studio 60. Please, don't let me down; bring it back!
I usually work Monday nights and my boyfriend tapes the show for me to watch when I come home. We've loved it since episode 1 and were in disbelief when we found out it was being cancelled. By far the best new show NBC has had since My Name is Earl and The Office. I finally gave that station credit when it moved Scrubs that appropriate time slot, even if it was to end it. Now I only have three reasons to watch NBC. Isn't ER getting old? Do we really need all those versions of Law & Order? Do something original. Save an intelligent show!
Studio 60 is the only show on tv with smart comedy. I look forward to seeing it every week as I am bored to tears with lowest common denominator shows like Family Guy, The Simpsons, Jackass, Jerry Springer, etc. Please don't take this from us!
I watched my first episode of Studio while on vacation visiting my sister in DC -- the sister who turned me on to SportsNight and The West Wing. I loved Studio so much that I stayed up all night watching as many back episodes as I could -- all but one, before exhaustion overtook me. Since I have a life, I have time to follow 4 shows a week -- Daily Show, Colbert Report, Gilmore Girls and Studio 60. So, listen up NBC: if your sponsors want me (and others like me...and there are mny others) to buy their products, Studio 60 is their *only* chance to persuade me. BRING IT BACK!!!
The sad truth is this is a brilliantly written show and if NBC will respond to immediate ratings without waiting for a show to build a following, then they can just stick with the trash reality programming this nation is addicted too.
Studio 60 is one of the best shows, let alone best new shows, on TV. Shows like this is why NBC used to be #1. Canceling it so you can show yet another hour of Deal or No Deal will ensure you remain at the bottom of the pack. Please keep this show on the air. Relocate it if you must, but do not cancel it!
Studio 60 is the best show since The Simpsons-clever, funny, and doesn't talk down to the viewers. Take a lesson from FOX and keep a smart show on the air.
I keep Monday nights free in order to watch this show. As an atypical TV viewer I appreciate that this show is not "dumbed down". The dialogue and characters are thought provoking and entertaining. This is not just the usual mindless fodder that is passed off as entertainment. Please keep this show on the air.
This show is one of the best in NBC's weekly line-up. If anything cancel deal or no deal. Studio 60 is a much different type of humor from what we can find in "the office". Move it to tuesday nights at 9 and watch the ratings soar!
I love Matthew Perry.. and will follow him anywhere... SAVE STUDIO 60! NBC is our favorite channel because of this show and the Office... save our show pleeeeeeease??
Wow. I'm not even surprised this has happened. With all the garbage on TV that seems to thrive, the few shows that provoke thought and true emotion are all cast aside to make room for more of the rubbish. Oh well, cable's too expensive to only have reality TV to choose from, I'm cancelling it.
love the show, looked forward to it every week. it was nice to have a show unlike every other show on tv. and the sorkin tempo was phenomenal, a balm for missing the west wing if you will. bring it back!
Please do not drop Studio 60. Like many other ppl I started watching this show because of Heroes. Now I enjoy it just as much if not more some weeks. It's one of the smartest shows on TV in my opinion. Please reconsider!
I'm shocked! What is NBC thinking? The show is so unique and way better than 30 Rock. I can't believe it. I really hope it is just on a break in order to introduce the Black Donnellys. I'm very disappointed...PLEASE COME BACK!!!
I started watching Studio 60 because of Heroes. Now I like it as much as Heros. I don't want it to be cancelled!

They should have been smart an put this show on SUNDAY.
You could have kept the West Wing built-in audience.
It would have been a great match with Crossing Jordan.
