I was just getting into it, and then instead of seeing what's going to be on next week's episode, I get an ad for yet another crime action/drama. Give Studio 60 a chance!
studio 60 is AMAZING!!its smart and the writing is great...if NBC cancels this should they risk lossing the last shread of class they have...having a smart show on their network rose them to a level above the rest but cancelling studio 60 will strip them of the class they have gained in the last few months..
please dont take it away it is a well written show with a great cast they do not deserve this and I believe there should be more shows with this type of humor
Studio 60 is one of the only really good shows on TV right now.It has great writing and an awesome cast who have really good chemistry. I used to watch a lot of TV and now I'm down to only 5 shows a week. Plus it has also made the loss of one the greatest shows ever, easier to bear (RIP West Wing). NBC, please don't cancel Studio 60!!!
Nooooooooooo!! Please don't cancel this show. It is by far the best show on television. My household ranges in age from 22 to 55 and we all love it. It's smart, funny and has great characters. Not everyone wants to watch reality TV
The show's one of the few bright spots on television anymore. It's one of the few shows that keeps me owning a tv. Reality tv is...well, it's just utterly irredeemable. Sorkin is one of the few creative directors on television. Why not get creative with the scheduling so you can find a better audience, eh?
Studio 60 is the only show worth watching consistently since 'Friends' (fortunately I can go see Friends on Fox and TBS for hours and hours every day), sure non-industry people don't get the humor so what. S60 is good clean entertainment, as opposed to more mobster crap a la "The Sopranos" that is taking the slot.
At least finish out the season so we aren't left hanging!!! (Or just fool us into buying the 'special collectors edition' DVD set that has the 6 "missing episodes"! I be just dumb enough to pay for it and not have to watch advertisements anyway.)
Finally, we get a smart show and someone wants to take it off the air. I am so disappointed. PLEASE KEEP THIS SHOW. This is one of the best shows on television today. Find a way to keep it - in any time slot. Come on NBC - step up and keep this for the viewers that enjoy terrific writing and great acting!
Studio 60 is one of the most touching, funny shows on the air right now. The characters are real and the plot doesn't jerk you around like other shows out there. It's really very witty and fast paced. I didn't think that a tv show could portray SNL in all its hilarious glory, but this one does it. Don't take it off the air!
This is one of the best shows I have ever seen. It is a pity that anytime a show that uses any humor other than slapstick or embarrassment has a terribly short life. Why do we as viewers always get a pat on the head and some brand new monstrosity in "realism?" Please continue to make this show.
Studio 60 is fantastic and deserves better than the half-hearted support it has gotten from NBC.
The show is smart, funny and fabulously written. The characters are likeable, complex and well acted.
I had to record the Christmas episode and I still watch it in February! When a show make me laugh outloud with no one else around...it's got to have something.
NBC Please keep this show and support it (i.e advertise and don't set it up for failure by premirering it opposite Monday Night Football). I dare say football fans never got to know the premise or characters -- it would be like trying to join an inside joke. (I live on the West Coast, so I got the best of both worlds --MNF is over by 9:00ish).
SAVE "STUDIO 60"!!!
This is one of the few shows I stay up to watch, and the only one that I can think of that I watch on NBC. It just needs more time and maybe a different time and or day. The show being cancelled right in the middle of the season makes it even worse. Didn't they already spend the money to shoot the rest of the episodes? And they are cancelling it because it is not making enough money? I can't believe that a show like the one about Earl(sorry don't know its full name) can stay on the air and Studio 60 gets cancelled. NBC will loose alot of viewers with this choice.
Do not cancel this show! Studio 60 is a wonderful show with a great cast and terrific writing. Give it the chance to build an audience. Revolving Television programing is not the answer.
As an NBC Universal employee - I know for a fact that opinions do not matter. This signature on this petition serves as nothing but a false hope that there might actually be a reconsideration. It's funny that the repetitive message in Studio 60, from the pilot episode on out, was that broadcast companies have lost touch of decent programming, and have slowly moved away to what's guaranteed to rack in ratings. Perhaps Sorkin should try and shop this show to HBO and Showtime - atleast they have the capacity to understand quality programming.
A great, intelligent, character driven drama that makes you think and feel. A true gem in the mire of U.S. television and NBC cancels it. Please allow the intelligent few who appreciate good writing and intriguing comment on issues, a show to watch. Don't cancel the show.
This is one of the few good shows on TV that isn't a copy of something else already on. Please keep it on. Change it's time slot to get more viewers interested.
"Studio 60" is finding it's way into the pantheon of TV greatness. Let NBC be a vessel that delivers the standard for quality productions. The show needs time and confidence and it will develop into a smash.
This show is one of a very few places where intelligent humor can be found. While being thought provoking and touching on emotionally charged subjects, it keeps its wit and charm. Do not cancle a show that will blossom in time.
This is a fantastic show, NBC needs to keep it or risk losing viewers of other shows of theirs. Just because they advertised and promoted it poorly, doesn't mean the loyal fans should be punished-at least give us an ending! Or better yet-sell it to someone that will appreciate it more.
I watch TV ALL the time it drives my boyfriend crazy. The funny thing about it is that I am a notorious channel flipper. Studio 60 is one of the 2 shows I watch religiously. I mean I don't really take the time to remember what shows come on, on what day. Studio 60 is one of the two that I actually know what time and day it comes on (Monday 10 pm for me). I look forward to it every week.
I want NBC to know that I love this show, and I hope they reconsider. I love the cast and the writing... and I will be very sad to see it go if it does. I guess it will be back to channel surfing on the cable channels on Monday nights for me (before and after Heroes)... There's nothing else on the networks (NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC) that I watch.
NBC you are going to lose this slot if you cancel and replace. You've probably already made up your minds, but your wrong...
I used to watch NBC all of the time but lately the quality of shows has gone down. The only two shows i watch is STUDIO 60 and Frdiday Night Lights. Studio 60 is just plain Brilliant!! It has the perfect blend of witty humor and drama. I cant imagine my monday nights without it. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!! If nothing else at least to finish out the season
I have worked in theatre all my life and the accuracy and intelligence of this show is amazing. The writing is brilliant. I look forward to it every week.
I am a mature adult with a six-figure income who juggles a busy travel schedule so he can be in front of a TV every Monday night at 10 PM to watch Studio 60. Note to NBC: You cancel this show and you've lost me completely as a viewer.
Studio 60 started out very hip and smart. When the ratings were not there they stared to dumb it down for the masses and it is still better than most shows on TV. Too bad it didn't go to HBO to begin with. NBC - if you won't save it at least wrap it up and give us an ending.
Unbelievable. I watch very little tv and this was one of the few shows I really enjoyed. It's not a comedy...it's a drama!!! Give it a new timeslot...and a chance NBC. Shameful! ;-(
I have only seen two episodes. The writing is exceptional as is the acting. Please allow the above average watcher to have a decent show to watch; there are so few.
This show is amazing. Written well, acted well, just made better than a lot of things on TV right now. I urge the executives at NBC to look at more than just ratings. Look at the messgae boards on your own website. On other web sites, even. Look at the iTunes downloads, the bandwidth on your site, and the TiVo/DVR recording numbers. Advertise it more, push it like you do Deal or No Deal or Heroes. Spark an interest, grab the viewers intention. Change it's timeslot. This show appeals to so many different ages and backgrounds, and that important. Please give it a second chance.
This is one of the few shows on TV that has any depth. I can't stand what passes as a comedy on TV these days. Even if this was more drama that comedy, it is still a great show with a great cast. NBC is losing all market share, including me.
Studio 60 earned a genuine respect in my eyes for NBC. I so greatly admire the higher standards of writing and not assuming that TV has to be dull and stupid. Studio 60 defends its own integrity within the story itself. The characters with depth, the clear-cut plot, without holes and with back-story... I hold firm that Studio 60 is a brilliant achievement of a major network, THE BEST by far. Keep it, you will earn the fans.
Studio 60 is a great show, and even if for whatever reason you do have to cancel it, at least show the rest of the episodes. And I'm not going to be watching the Black Donelly's. Only reason I stayed up that late on a Monday was because Studio 60 was a truly great show.
I don't remember the last time I watched a show that engaged my intellect - in a good way. I know I will buy it on DVD...but I hope it can stay on the air longer.
Studio60 feels like the smartest comedy in forever, with interesting relationships between the characters and a willingness to address provocative issues. Something the "real" comedy shows lack.
I just want to say that I think NBC is failing this wonderful show. They haven't done nearly enough to try and save it. The least they could do with something they've invested so much in is try it in a different time slot!
I love studio 60, it is my favorite show on t.v. It is what I look forward to every night. It is the only reason I look forward to mondays. I would be crushed if it were to be canceled. If NBC has any brain they will keep it on the air.
Studio 60= Best Show on TV.
Give it a chance. Let us share it with friends. Word of mouth will bring viewers. Please don't cancel it. I'm 51 and I think it is the best show I have seen in years.
This is a fantastic show. I was affraid that it was too smart for the average watcher. How sad that reality tv has thrived while people that actually want to be stimulated get the short end of the stick. Please allow us this show!
Studio 60 is an incredibly smart, funny and fast paced show. It contrasts greatly with the reality/cop-drama garbage that runs rampant through every networks lineup. It is one of two shows that I look forward to watching each week. NBC needs to increase its marketing campaign behind the show, move it to a better timeslot and look beyond the aggregate viewer numbers and focus on the high quality of viewership the show is receiving. This show is "MUST SEE TV" and NBC needs to realize that. Please keep this show.
Studio 60 isn't lke any other show I've seen on television in the recent years. It's smart and funny in a sense that doesn't demote class and culture unlike many others. It's possibly the bets show I've ever seen, and i find that it's being 'canceled' due to NBC's lack of publicity and promotion of this spectacular show.
Networks need to stop playing to the lowest common denominator and stop being afraid to put SMART shows on the air. So what if stupid America doesn't get it and doesn't watch? Why don't we make the US smarter and not end up as a real life idiocracy...
