This is the most clever, smartly paced, non laugh-tracked comedy on TV. It is the only comedy I watch anymore, and I used to watch just about everything.
Truly brilliant. Try to do something unpredicable for a change, and keep this on the air. The best network comedy since "Freaks And Geeks" and "Undeclared."
This is a great show! To appreciate the humor, you actually have to have some intelligence, unlike the other mind-numbing shows out there. Please keep it!
This show is the most critically acclaimed show of the season, the most critically acclaimed show on FOX, the most critically acclaimed comedy in years, it's ripe with megahit potential, it's hindered by it's timeslot, and it averages a 75-80% audience retention rate from Malcolm, which is a good accomplishment for a comedy aimed at entirely different audience than Malcolm. It's won many awards, it's won more awards in it's first season than most shows do in their whole run. This show has a dedicated fanbase and support from many people in Hollywood, it has to stay on the air.
If there is any show that deserves to stay on the air, it's this one. I know FOX hates challenging its viewers to think, but please give this show a chance to win over the idiots. PLEASE.
Arrested Development is as hilarious as it is quirky. What could FOX possibly replace it with that would draw more ratings? Oh yeah, a third weekly episode of American Idol.
I was a latecomer to this very witty show. (Thanks for no laugh track!)
I have now told my friends to be sure to catch it when it is rerun in chronological order.
Please give the people who feel they don't want to jump into the middle of a complicated (but worth it!) show the opportunity to savor it as I do.
Thank you,
Jim Philpot
I'm signing this petition because this show is most deffinately the funniest show since the Family Guy and as we have learned from that low numbers of viewers doesnt mean much. and i agree with James liza needs to come back.
If fox cancels AD it will only be replaced by another dysfuncitonal family comedy, that will be nowhere near as intelligent as AD, nor as funny. AD is the best show on Fox Sundays since the Simpsons.
Do not cancel AD networks just look for the next big thing... which is reality shows. Reality check time: Reality shows were the next big thing four years ago now we want to go back to smart scripted programming
I am more than happy to sign this petition because I am a very big fan. The question, however should be What the hell are these other TV viewers watching? It just shocks me that people complain about the quality of shows but then don't watch when a quality show is on. I'm so sorry this isn't a Friends or Raymond clone. Actually I'm happy it isn't.
I love Arrested Development! It is so freaking funny I can hardly believe it! The writing is superb and all the actors are hilarious. Please keep it on the air. p.s. I heart G.O.B.
Please do not cancel the television prgram Arrested Development as it is the only show smart people have the joy of watching (other than Curb Your Enthusiasm)since Seinfeld ended.
Please don't cancel Arrested Development! It is the most amazing television show I have ever watched. The scripts, acting, camera work, narration, humour --- everything about it is perfect. Please save it for the intelligent television viewers out there who know have finally found something to adore again.
I rarely watched network television until someone recommended this show to me. Now I'm glued to Arrested Development on Sunday nights and have started watching other Fox shows as well. If Arrested Development is cancelled, I'll be back to cable only. Arrested Development is brilliantly written and acted, one of the best sitcoms I've ever seen. Please let it continue!
Living in Australia, I have yet to see this show, but from everything I've read about it, it sounds fantastic & I can't wait to see it here. I love smart, quirky shows like this, &long with Scrubs, Wonderfalls, Ed etc, & they should be encouraged despite achieving much lower ratings than the usual fodder for the masses. Soon there will be no intelligent scripted programming left for the more discerning viewers, & that will indeed be a crying shame, & an indictment on both the networks & the general viewing public who fail to give these kinds of critically acclaimed shows a chance. So save Arrested Development, & if you're feeling benevolent, please find a place for the recently cancelled Angel on your network!
