Please, Please, Please do not cancel Arrested Development. This has got to be the best new show on broadcast television in ten years. Have some back bone for once Fox and keep a great and very funny show on the air. If you want to cancel something drop the American Idol drival, that show is about the worse thing ever air on television.
Fox needs to realize how to use time slots. Sunday seems to be the slot where brilliance is born, only to die in infancy. Please see Family Guy, Futurama, ect. Hopefully AD will not be added to this dubious list.
Please do not cancel this show. It is probably one of the smartest, funniest shows to come around in a long time. To cancel it would just prove what most people say about Fox, that they don't care about good shows-only ratings. Don't make that true. I love everything about this show!!!!
You can not pull the plug on something as great as this. When so many shows are cookie cutter sit-coms, this is is far and away the best show in years. And it's all done w/o a laugh track.

You have to renew this show!!! It's the best! I hate missing an episode. It's so different from any other show out there. It combines the best elements from sitcom, drama, and reality shows. It's smart, funny. twisted, and the characters are so loveable, in spite of (or maybe b/c of) their many flaws. It's gotten such great reviews, so give it a chance! Ratings are never that accurate anyway.
My family and I love this show. If we can't watch it we tape it. We can't let a week go by with out watching it. There comes the frustration with it twice being pre-empted. Fox must give this show another chance. A new time slot to improve it's chances would be a good move. Everyone in this show does an awesome job. I would hate to see it cancelled.
AD is by far the best new comedy of the year (and last year for that matter). However, I think it would be better suited in a different time slot. Although Malcolm is a great show, I doubt it has the right lead in audience for a sophisticated show like Arrested Development. Please don't take it away!
for once, let a show grow, and not hope for
intant success. Brillance takes time to grow, and it will last longer than most of the crap that is currently being aired. NBC has done this with show and has had huge success using this tactic. Besides several shows you programing has become knockoffs of reality tv, and even knockoffs of the knockoffs. FOX,please do the right thing and save your dignity.
Arrested Development is one of the most original shows on TV today. It's completely different from those trashy reality shows that Fox throws at us. I'm not the only one who is tired of Fox's continued pandering to the masses of idiots in America. Smart people appreciate smart shows, and Arrested Development is a smart show.
With a show as unique and original as this one, you have to allow some time for it to find an audience. I promise, word of mouth will get around!!! Don't give up yet!
There are only 2 shows on television worth watching. This is one of them. If Fox cancels this show then all they will have left is the Simpsons which, btw, is not the other show anymore.
Arrested Development has single-handedly saved network comedy. I haven't seen a half hour show come out that is this fresh, with such excellent writing and perfectly cast actors in YEARS. Please give this series at least one more season to prove itself; it has made FOX my network of choice on Sunday nights despite the declining quality of The Simpsons.
The cancellation of Arrested Development, in my opinion, would be a huge mistake. I feel if the show was given more of a chance, and possibly a better time slot, it would draw many more viewers. It would be a shame to see such a creative, innovative show get taken off the air before it is given a fair chance. It offers a different type of comedy that I feel with time will win the interest of many viwers. If FOX decides to cancel I think another network would be wise to sign it on to theirs. Obviously, with all the controversy as to whether it should or shouldn't be taken off the air is proof that this show deserves a second chance to get the attention it deserves. Furthermore, what would FOX have to replace this show with? If a hilarious show like AD cannot get the ratings, what other show could survive?
This is one of the funniest, smart, and most original shows ever conceived. Axing it would be a television tragedy and a huge mistake on the part of FOX, who one would think learned their lesson after cancelling Family Guy. FOX needs to seriously rethink this decision, especially considering the existing quality programming such as Reality Sexual Situations Garbage Show #1-10, World's Dumbest People, and Wackiest Wedding Bloopers Caught On Tape. No more shit. PLEASE. FOX may cater to middle-aged single women and morons, but if they want the patronage and respect from the more intelligent crowd, they know exactly what they need to do (or in this case, not do).
AD is one of the best television shows to come out in a long time. The network television schedule is barren without it. Please renew for atleast one more season. David Cross is a genius.
This is THE best show on television in the past 5 years. So very funny, it makes even a cynical guy like me laugh out loud until it hurts. If you have any decency, don't cancel this gem!
AD is like many Impressionist painters, in that it is not appreciated while alive. One more season will surely give birth to its ratings success, adding to its superiority above all sitcoms. Give it a chance, like Seinfeld got, and you may have a chance at Michael, Job, Tobias and Lindsay being the next Jerry, Kramer, George and Elaine.
AD is so original and it's the only thing I watch on Sunday besides The Simpsons. Don't make a mistake like you did with Futurama and even more so with Family Guy. Don't wait for the DVD sales to prove it's popularity; it's great now and is only getting started!
Anyoung, Fox - are you paying attention to all of these people who are making an effort to sign this petition? We are the movers & shakers of this country: young, intelligent and willing to buy whatever your sponsors wish ... BUT you must, repeat must, keep Arrested Development on for many many more seasons. Heck, put it on every night - the Bluth family is far more interesting and far more funny than my family will ever be. We are not joking about this. Our country is going down the crapper with Bush at the helm and our only bright spot is that tiny little 30 minutes of extremely pleasurable AD.
Think about it, Fox. You're trying to beat ABC for third place in the rankings of the mainstream non-cable networks. You have this treasure of a show that will surely gain viewers over time, while ABC is borrowing shows from the USA network on cable. Why cancel a show that has so much potential? There is a growing and deeply devoted group of fans of Arrested. Maybe rerun the first season on FX without the bleeps. It might attract more viewers. Plus the fact that Ron Howard is involved with the show. Think of the friends he could get to guest star in some sweeps episodes. Arrested Development could end up having a longer life span than The OC if you would give it a chance.
When I saw the ocmmercials for the season premiere, I thought it looked dumb, but I decided to watch it anyways. AAN I WAS SO WRONG! IT's such a funny show! It's up there with Seinfeld.

"arrested development" contains some of the smartest comedy ive seen in a long time. if you cancel this now, FOX, you will regret it. this is the future of sitcoms.
You can't cancel this show. It's the only show I can recite almost word for word the next day and laugh just as hard as I did when it was on. It's the best comedy I've seen since Seinfeld.
Please don't be stupid and cancel this show. When reality tv finally dies, the sitcom will rise again. Arrested CAN be great...if you give it a chance.
This show is amazing! Last week they ELUDED to sweetly (although the topic isn't sweet, but the way they addressed it was) to molestation. It was so subtle! Don't leave funny show!
I fell in love with Arrested Development within minutes of watching the first episode. It would be a crying shame if it gets yanked off the air without giving it a real shot at being a success.
I stumbled on this show during its 2nd or 3rd episode, and was immediately hooked! I plan my Sunday evenings aroung this show, and have told many of my friends to watch because they're missing out on true, from-the-gut laughter
i love this show. it is the only show on the air that still makes me laugh. it is a comedy great along the lines of curb your enthusiasm. if america is too dumb to catch is subtle humor, then we are in a sad state indeed.
