Areested Developement gives me hope in television. In years to come, it may be seen to be as innovative as Monty Python--and as classic. And it will certainly stand up to syndication as M.A.S.H has.
Please give us intelligent people something funny to watch.
Incredibly funny show. Might be able to bring some prestige to FOX if they let it stay on the air. Intelligent. Witty. Brilliant. Dropping this show would be a huge mistake, just like dropping Family Guy and Futurama. FOX should make a decent decision for once.
Seinfeld and Friends didn't get great first-season ratings either. Cancelling them *sure* would've been the right decision, huh... (note obvious sarcasm)
Seriously, though, it's a great show, and deserves a chance. Great writing, great cast, great premise, great show... and, with adequate promotion (considering I've never once seen a commercial for it outside of the Sunday time block), it will definitely be a major success. Cancelling it would be a crime, FOX.
You guys are FOOLS if you cancel this show. I have finally found a comedy that doesn't insult my intelligence...this is the first bright spot on network TV since Seinfeld...a breath of fresh air. I laugh until I hurt.
This show and Curb Your Enthusiasm are my two favorite shows. Both creative and edgy.
AD makes me laugh out loud every time I watch it. Please, please, please keep this show!!!
Please keep Arrested Development on the air! My husband and I love it and recommend it to everyone we know. Would an AD marathon be too much to hope for this summer?
This show can only be compared to possibly Seinfeld. It is an intellectual humour, that has made my Sundays enjoyable. I am in college and there are many students I know that love this show. Please save what used to be humourous Sundays, and keep this show!
This is the funniest show on TV since Seinfeld. It is another show about nothing that has more potential and substance than anything else on.
Keep this in mind: the drastic drop in ratings after Malcolm is due to the large viewing audience that is predominantly younger than that of Arrested Development!
This show is one of the few intellectual comedies. I'll be devestated if it isnt picked up for another season, because everything comes together so well. I hope it comes out on DVD
Every single character on this show brings sooo much talent and laughs - I will buy it on DVD the day it comes out - and will sell a pinky for another season.
This has to be one of the wittest and well written shows I have ever watched. Great work everyone. If Fox doesn't keep you I pray you find another network.
Let's hope FOX doesn't continue their trend of killing innovative programming (Andy Richter, Futurama, etc.). Not everyone has a "Cops" or "American Idol" mentality, so it would be a novel concept for FOX to nurture shows like AD, if only to balance the rest of the "lowest common denominator" dribble they are purveying.
David Cross is a genius, please show it more regularly. People are just discovering and it's hard to capture an audience when you only show episodes every other week.
I would just reiterate what others have said about how slowly Seinfeld started out. I would add that this show is already on par with latter-year Seinfeld in terms of humor. It's brilliant!
One or only smart show on TV. It does not insult our intelligence and has humor that at times is hidden but when found makes me outburst in total guffaw
I look forward to Sunday nights just for this reason. My husband and I are exhausted but stay up just to watch the show. It reminds me of the early days of Seinfeld. Keep this show on - the best out there -a definite jewel. Earlier timeslot might get larger ratings - don't let it go!
Intelligence is so missing in most of the rest of TV. All we are given is putdown and bad bad attitude. Please keep this GREAT program going. Thank you.
