Seriously, I know fox is dense sometimes, but they can't be stupid enough to cancel this show. Or can they?
AD is the kind of show that will only get better with age - if given the chance.
It seems bad strategy to get into the habit of pulling shows. Either Fox has to find leaders who have foresight or they should decide once and for all the kind of programming they want to offer. Stringing along viewers like they have been as many times as they have will only anger folks like me. I'll stop watching Fox if they pull Arrested Development.
A a loyal FOX viewer, (I have hung in for all of Fox's ridiculous reality shows from "Temptation Island to Paradise Hotel", I finally stumbled uopn Arrested Development after Skin was abruptly canceled (I watched all 3 episodes). Convinced that the show would be pulled out from under me I tried not to like it and reamian cynical, but alas I couldn't resist. Arrested Development may be The BEST SHOW since Seinfeld. If this show is pulled form the lineup I will not watch FOX ever again and neither will dozens of the people I have turned onto this show. All remaining crediblity will be lost.
By the way, AD producers who might happen to review this petition - any chance you could go direct to DVD with the second and subsequent seasons, in the event of cancellation? I've read more than a few comments here that suggest a willingness to pay directly for the pleasure of watching this great show. You've created a ton of value for so many people - why not cash in directly instead of trying to appeal to your audience AND ad execs AND network folk?
no wonder nobody watched this show. Fox put it after "Malcolm," the dumbest show on t.v. People who like Malcolm aren't going to watch a smart show like A.D. Then, Fox puts A.D. after American Idol. PLEASE!!! Again, smart show follows dumb show, the dummies aren't going to get the humor.
Undoubtedly the funniest show to hit television since Seinfeld, this is such a smart and hilarious show. And it's the only FOX show I watch. Subtle jabs at the GOP - is that part of what's behind its precarious status?
It figures the half-wits at FOX would try to cancel this show. Besides "The Simpsons," the bulk of their shows are targeted toward the slack-jawed, two-bit, redneck sector of the population that just loovvvees them "weddin' reality shows." They should have learned from their Futurama mistake. AD is absolutely one of the best shows on TV. My wife and I can barely stay in our seats -- and oh God, do people talk about it at work the next day. It wouldn't take too much longer for "word of mouth" to make this a hit! Too bad the fags at FOX get their asses all wet for the reality genre.
In an increasing desert of quality television AD is an oasis. Intelligent and funny with likeable characters. I look forward to this show all week. I would seriously consider never watching Fox again if this great show is cancelled.
If this show gets canceld I will riot in the streets!! It is THE funniest show on tv. It would have been one of the funniest shows on tv if you didn't cancel Andy Richter, but I digress. The show is absolutly brilliant and your an idot for canceling this instead of one those STUPID wedding reality shows.
We got into this show right at the end. It was suggested by someone else. We absolutely love this show and would hate to see it leave! My wife and I typically don't watch TV unless we get into a show. The first show was Seinfeld then it was Amazing Race(s). Now, it's AD. Please don't let this show go. It's too good!
Sam
I love this show, it is the funnist thing on tv right now. do not chance anything, cancel or move it to another day. FOX you kept all the crap like malcolm, oliver, AMERICAN IDOL and the last few years of That 70's Show. you should wake up and not cancel this one. YOU have a show that CAN run a LONG time. and maybe be better then married with children(i doubt it) but it could be equal.
AD is the best show to come out in years. I have missed it so much in the last few weeks. It is smart, funny, and makes my week. I look forward to this show all week. Don't get rid of it for god's sake. I dont want to have just one season of this. When there are so many bad shows why risk removing a good one. Screw SUnday night if you take this. Malcolm in the middle has nothing on this show and yet it stays...CMON People.
AD is my favourite show. As a mother, life is hectic, but one thing I truely make time for is this show. It allows me to laugh and give me hope for my own family and sometimes relate to the crazy things that happen. This show has given me something to look forward to all week. Please do not cancel AD!
WHY WOULD YOU CANCEL THE MOST HYSTARICAL DISFUNCTIONAL FAMILY ON T.V. ! This show honestly makes me laugh off the couch every time I watch it! This has promise and purpose to a Sunday night! The comedy is new and original... and I want to see what happens to the family in the future!
everybody i've found that has ever watched a single episode loves the show. we talk about it every day in newspaper. hilarious. i like (16 yr old) like it, and my parents and grandparents love it too. please save it. AD gives my life meaning
I thought the show was off. I really miss it. It has a different kind of comedy, and the quirkness of it, is something to see, and a refresher from all of these reality shows. I am around Jason Bateman's age, and always wondered what happened to him, and was happy to see him back on T.V, again. He is very talented, and grew into a nice looking young man. I like everybody, but I grew up with him. Please keep it on, I always looked forward to it on Sundays, before bed time.
AR is one of the funniest and most brilliant shows I've ever seen. I hope FOX doesn't make the same mistake that was made with Wanda at Large, Futurama, Family Guy....
Until I found Arrested Development, I never made a point to watch anything on TV. Now Sunday nights are reserved for this 30-minute show (Wish it were an hour!)This show is the best thing I've seen on TV. It becomes the topic of conversation at work on Mondays. FOX would be doing a disservice to its viewers to pull the plug on something as greatly entertaining as this show. It's top notch comedy.
I think fox has made up it's mind no matter what fans want....this show is absolutely the best on the air...that's why it probably won't do abit of good to ask them to keep it...maybe Ron Howard's influence might count for something..I hope it will !!!
This show is worth keeping. It may be slow to catch on, but those who are fans, watch it with X-Files--Simpsons loyalty. Mabye it will take a second sesson before it REALLY becomes popular, it's a worthy investment though.
