cancelling get this could result in unwanted consequences for MMM.and would put 3 of the funniest guys on radio at the moment out of a job.saving get this could save a lot of nerds out there, one of them being myself =)
Following this announcement, I will never listen to Triple M again (after the 23rd of November, anyway). In fact, I'm going to get a CD player installed in my car just so I can play Get This podcasts on repeat, and to avoid the 22 hours of rubbish that the station generally serves up when Tony, Ed
I live in Perth now.. we don't even get the show and i still think its the best thing on radio! I come back to sydney just to listen to it! WTF ARE YOU DOING TRIPLE M! Its your fault for poor advertising- we dont want any more crappy 2gay fm or nova rubbish! WE WANT GET THIS!
This is a horrible decision. Thuis country's radio dial is populated by talentless morons who shame people for a living. Ed and Tony and Richard were the glowing exception. It's a disgrace.
You can't cancel this show as Tony Martin is one of the greatest Australian comics of all time. I have always enjoyed his comedy sketches since he was on radio since Today FM days.
Why does radio have to be so broad and boring? Get This is the diamond in Australia's rough - the exception to all this frankly annoying broadness. Keep them on. At least until they cite exhaustion, Martin/Malloy style.
Get This is heads and shoulders better than any other show that MMM has to offer. For them to take off what is clearly their funniest and most entertaining show at the height of its popularity is simply ridiculous!
Show's over for today, and hmmm, the Triple M gets suddenly switched off. Funny that. Revive Get This in some kind of form. Please, Triple M. Win back my respect.
Go to another station more deserving of your superior talents guys-we will follow you! I would even pay to hear this great show..triple M only has GET THIS going for it, they will be the big losers in all of this!
Myf Warhurst might be better looking than Tony et al but it's radio for god's sake! I bet you she won't be able to impersonate The Beatles ... oh wait neither can Richard
One of the only shows on commercial radio that doesn't treat listeners like idiots. Of course they had to get rid of it...a poor decision Triple M. There's no reason to have Triple M on at work now. GET THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT BREAKS UP THE MONOTONY! I will follow where the guys go, hopefully somewhere that appreciates their talent.
Some one at Triple M is clearly trying to destroy the station... Peter Helliar instead of The Cage? Idiots... Get This is far and away the funniest radio show going around. The ratings figures are proof. Triple M has no logical reason for axing this great show.
Triple M signalled their confusion about Get This when the new brekkie show was announced â anyone reading The Age last week would have noticed this in the feature article on Mfy Warhusrt and later in The Weekend Age article on Peter Harvie, where Matt Tilly and Tony Martin feature in the main photograph. It should be noted that the best broadcasters in the world are not DJâs â they are talented individuals and Tony Martin is one of the very best. With any luck, he will go the other Austrereo stable mate Fox/Today. Whatever happens, we should not this radio ensemble. Triple M needs to understand that its listeners are now grown ups with real money, power and the zest for above average entertainment â the kids like Nova and bubble gum music. Peter Harvie; sign the boys to Today and Foxâ¦.now!
nice work triple M. should of seen this coming along time ago. if only your song rotation policy was as frequent as your shifting of Get This's time slot you maybe wouldnt be the laughing stock of the FM dial. Get Real Triple M!
which prick is behind this decision? Get This must be picked up by another station...then the executives at MMM can watch as their ratings go down the shitter
At least we won't have to listen to any more premature ejaculation adverts!Every cloud has a silver lining - but let's still give a stiff middle digit to MMM!
