You all really should listen to comic book readers. Making a movie that will appeal to non-comic book readers will more likely happen if those who buy comics can support the film. The cartoons aren't too bad so why should the movie be? Don't let Hollywood trash this... it has the potential of being a classic like the Star Wars saga. Creativity, and being true to form don't have to be at odds.

Do screwe this movie up like Smallville. I stopped watching it after the first season it was so far from the true story. And take leason from Brian Singer's mistakes and do make Superman a dead beat dad
I don't like the direction of this movie. it should be in the same universe as superman returns with brandon routh playing superma and christian bale as batman.
This is a project that deserves proper planning and casting, I implore you not to rush this, and keep in mind the many years of history, it would be a shame if poor casting and shoddy workmanship ruined this potentially great film
Please George MIller. You are one of the master planners in the Major story arcs in the DCU. This was evident with Crisis on Infinite Earths and subsequent ripples. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE AND CAST TEENS OVER REAL ACTORS. And leave Chris Bale in. Not since Michael Keaton have we a BAT who we can truly Like.
Simply put, if there is time taken to establish several of the main characters in their own series then this is a viable property to newbies and comic fans alike.If this is rushed with no regard to previous character developement, tons of true fans will be alienated and a potentialy record breaking franchise would very likely become a lukewarm movie with the same type of reception at absolute best.
Bring in Brandon Routh and Christian Bale! Wait until after their respective trilogies are done and then do a movie with them in it. I will definitely watch JLA in that case, but not with the current circumstances.

This movie is going to be aweful. No matter what they do, it's just too much shit to try and cram into one movie. And what's the biggest thing that makes superhero movies so bad in the sequils? Trying to cram to many characters, backstories, and sub plots together in one film. The only way this film would do the JLA justice is if it cost $500 million and was almost six hours long and no studio would ever do that. this movie has been doomed since day 1. Just split the league up and have them focus on there own films.

Keep the movie loyal to the comic. Use the original members. HAL JORDAN and BARRY ALLEN especially, if you want to use John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, (or even Guy Gardner) and Wally West; save them for possible sequels.

None of you are thinking clearly, Tom Welling is great as a superman discovering his powers, but he is not a superman yet. he is too young looking. Although I agree, cast this moive right or not at all. I would love to see Hal Jordan as he is to this day the greatest green lantern. And while Kate Bekinsale is hot, is she really a wonderwoman? I think that while the movie was not so great Lawrence Fishburne could be the Martian Manhunter. I really doubt they are going to do Barry Allen, most likely Wally west and rumor has it they want Ryan Reynolds. Brandon Routh is good enough for me, Christian Bale, but who for Aquaman, and Green Lantern? These are huge questions, Take the time to cast this movie right, and keep in mind for two of the main characters, we have background story for, what about the rest? How long is this movie going to be so that we can feel comfortable with who the characters are?
This is a movie that they shouldn't rush. They should make all the individual superhero movies first and then make the JLA. Thats what marvel is doing and look how well their doing. They better not screw this up, because some of my favorite comic book characters come out of DC.
please use good , older actors that reflect the mature character in the comic books and cartoons. no baby or nerdy faces playing batman and superman and no one from the OC, friday night lights, or dawsons creek should be the main characters.

If this is the direction in which WB is proceeding with this casting targeting a 12-20 demographic then are they forgetting all the people 21-50 that made the Justice League and its heroes popular in the first place and also gave WB this opportunity to make a movie like this.The casting should reflect a wider demographic of actors in thier late twenties and early thirties. Okay continuity should be held for Superman and Batman i.e Bale and Routh. You should also not go with John Stewart as Green Lantern he is a replacement GL. Hal Jordan was the greatest GL of all time plus he was in the league since the beginning and would make sense to be in the movie. Now the Flash I would go with Wally West because he holds the mantle right now. The other cast, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter are musts just like Batman, Superman, Flash and Hal Jordan as Green Lantern. But I've never liked Aquaman I'd rather see Plastic Man or the Atom or even Zatanna maybe.
I think most of the actors should be in their late 20s to mid 30s. Most actors younger than this won't be able to pull it off. Most likely they'd come across as being overzealous and cocky, instead of powerful and confident. The casting for this movie should be similar in vein as the casting of Batman Begins.
This would work for me: Jennifer Connelly as Wonder Woman, Christian Bale has to be Batman and Brandon Routh as Superman for continuity! I think Daniel Craig would make an awesome Aquaman! Ryan Reynolds should be the Flash(Wally West) no doubts about that one! Henry Simmons would be the perfect Green Lantern and Jimmy Jean Lewis could possibly be good for the Martian Manhunter!
Heroes are mythic. What has made the best superhero movies work is the admission that these stories are mythic. Actors need to be able to carry that off. Please: a great script, and actors to carry the parts. Don't waste this opportunity.

As a comic artist and comic book fan, stay true to the fans. They keep us in business; without them we wouldn’t have the market or the economic resources to develop these movies or comics, I’m not saying not to give those that haven’t had the silver screen success a chance, but choose wisely, and tread lightly, if the comic Book fans feel they have been treated as a inanimate object rather than a important asset, might not feel as giving when it comes time to open there wallets when you need them most.
