Stephenie!! Please please PLEASE! We know that you're upset, but people who are signing this petition haven't gotten a chance to read it yet! And we swear, we're not going to read any "sneak peek" of Midnight Sun unless it's the published version!
I support this petition.my daughter told me about the twilight series and so i started reading them and found them brilliant. since reading them the bond between me and my daughter has grown very strong. i would be VERY disappointed if midnight sun isnt released
But for now we are all waiting Stephenie, waiting to hear the true version, your version of Midnight Sun, because draft or no draft, nothing could compare to the real story, the complete story, and the finished story, that I know your heart wants to tell.

I support this petition...more than I support Obama (well not really that much but you get the idea). I have no idea what it feels like to have a little piece of my heart illegally posted on the internet BUT I know what I feel when I read those books. The fact that you are one person and you've had such an impact on soooooo many peoples lives should just go to show you what an amazing series of books you have created and the effect you've had on all of us. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE publish Midnight Sun. I feel as though I have no closure to these books now...Seriously, I must have no life because it's all I can think about. I check your website everyday, hoping that there is something new posted and you'll say "O.k. guys I've changed my mind..." I support this petition.stephanie meyers you are an incredible author. You've done so great with the twilight series and unlike other authors can keep a reader motivated beyond that first book. I have friends who have always hated to read but when I showed them your twilight book and made them read it they were HOOKED! They managed to finish the rest of it in 2 days! Stephanie u are an inspiration to us all. Especially other amatuer writers like myself. I know that it must be devastating to know someone put the first 12 chapters of your creation online illegaly but you can't let that stop you from reaching your dream. I remember you mentioned that you wanted a copy of Midnitght Sun next to Twilight well don't let those invaders keep you from that. When I heard that the chapters were posted I thought hey great i wanted to rush to a computer and read them but then when I knew they had invaded ur privacy I knew it was wrong. So that's why I refuse to read then now. Ill wait for the version you wanted and intended us to read. We support you ßtephanie please finish writing it. Much love and creative flow going your way!
I support this petition SO MUCH!! I need to read Midnight Sun, I think it's awful people downloaded it illegally!! I am in love with the series and I cried when I found out. I was depressed all day & when someone asked me why in my english class & I said Midnight Sun wasn't getting published and every person who heard me practically went into shock. My whole english class was depressed beyond belief ! please publish it <3 !

I read all the twilight books on my summer of work and travel in LA then brought them back to Scotland and am making sure all my friends are as addicted as I am. I purchased them copies to put in along with their prezzies from my trip and they love them!!! It is hard to resist the online copy but I want to wait so please say you'll start work on it again!!

Stephanie, I can't show any empathy here. I am not a published author, and I have never had my work illegally displayed on the internet. I can, however, sympathize (huh...that sounds like something Alice said in Eclipse...hmmm well think like Bella then if you can follow my thinking there). It has to be hard for you to know that a sloppy draft of your future book got out. However, I've read your description of Midnight Sun on your website, the one you wrote before the illegal copy got out. I DO know what it feels like to want to hold a published copy of your work in your hands. That would be a sense of accomplishment that many people strive for. You have gone above and beyond that accomplishment. Your books are all but worshiped by thousands of people. Do you want that to stop? What happened to wanting a copy of Midnight Sun standing next to Twilight? Don't let one stupid person ruin that ambition. It's obvious in your books that you put passion into them. Why make it stop? You KNOW that you have another story to tell. When it's finished, Edward's story of Twilight will probably be your greatest work yet. You know that too don't you? Just don't get in your own way. It's sad, but don't give the person who leaked your story the satisfaction of knowing they have so much power over you. They don't, right? Prove it.

I love the Twilight saga and what I have read on Midnight Sun, from Stephenie Meyer's official site, I would hate to see it unfinished. There wouldn't be this petition if people didn't love the books so much. We must all encourage and believe in Stephenie that she can finish writing Midnight Sun.

This book is crucial to the Twilight Lexicon. The demi-god that is Edward has always been an enigma, and this book promised to show us his own soul. Curiosity and a nagging longing burn me from the inside out. I cannot see more than Bella can what exactly Edward loves in her and why he loathes himself quite so much. his perfection as a literary hero and as a person can only be magnified by our understanding of his self-proclaimed imperfections. And the Meadow scene is one of the most romantic and heart-wrenching in literature (and trust me, I've read everything from Lolita to the Sorrows of Young Werther, but nothing can compare to the emotions i witnessed and experienced whilst reading the chapter). It would be heartbreaking to be robbed by leakers of the experience of the Meadow through golden eyes. please, i beg you, take time to calm down, to forgive and forget, to throw your creativity toward other projects, and then CONTINUE! for that your fans will be impossibly, divinely grateful. my love, apologies, and condolences.

I support this petition. I know it has to be tough when a trusted friend betrays an author so deeply. However, the reaction to this work has been amazing. We would love to see this work out. From an economic perspective, copies of the work will be bought. I'm so sorry that this has happened, but please finish the story.

I was blown away by how much the story moved me. I originally bought the books for my daughter who was so engrossed that she never heard anything that I was saying. So i decided to take a look. I read the whole series in a week.

I am completely devastated to hear about Midnight Sun, but i just want you to know that i will not read it until it is published legally.
