I used to wish this show would get cancelled, but with the coming of season 5 the writing quality has re-ascended. Please don't take this show off the air. Neither of the SG-1 films were up to the quality of an SG-1 episode.

MGM is foolish to end Stargate Atlantis so early. The show has years left in its storyline and in light of the abysmal other prospects on Sci-Fi, such as Anonymous Rex, they are shelling the network's best potential for ratings. Atlantis must continue.

I guess this is yet another bid to try to make more money by making a couple of movies a year and kicking off Stargate Universe. Well I could give a darn about either, I just want Atlantis to continue at least for another season to tie up everything. Sorry, but you are not going to be able to do that in a 2 hour movie. MGM just keeps falling lower and lower in my estimation, as do the Stargate producers who don't fight for their shows. None of you care about the fans, do you?

I'm utterly shocked that MGM would cancel a perfectly good show, which was getting decent ratings, for one which is just a theory at this point, and an iffy one at that. I have doubts that Universe will even make it past 1 or 2 seasons, so I'm baffled as to why they would stop production on SGA instead of giving them 1 more season to wrap everything up. Sure, movies are alright, but they're nothing like having a new episode to look forward to each week.
