SGA needs to continue! Thay will just end up rushing the movie and no one will get the closure they deserve. Why not take it up on another network? SG1 has done that in the past. Seriously, movies suck in comparison to full blown seasons. We want more SGA!! Bring it back!!
I support this petition. Seriously, cancel a show getting some of its best ratings. Way to go! This show is smart, funny, interesting, complex yet accessible with wonderful characters and many more stories to tell. TV movies are great but no substitute for the depth and intricacies of episodic television. Boo to MGM, Sci Fi, the producers and or whoever is responsible for this bad decision.
I've been a fan of Stargate Atlantis from the beginning and come hell or high water, I'm in front of my TV every Friday night. On the rare occasions I'm not, however, I do TiVo it. From what I've read, the TiVo (DVR) ratings are even better than the "live" ratings...so why cancel? You HAVE a fan base. A very obviously PISSED fan base, by the way.
Please don't cancel the show.

I support this petition. this is a great show. i was at my friends house and he was watching it and i sat down and watched it with him. by the end i was in love. for a week all that we did was watch the entire SGA from beginning to end. i want to be able to keep doing this. so please do not end the show.
I support this petition. At least give SGA one or two more seasons. This way a fantastic ending could be made. Then there could be the possibility of great SGA films that don't have to worry about a major story line left behind due to cancellation of the show. (Maybe even create SG-1 and SGA crossover films...)
SGA is the show that brought me back to series TV after a looong break. To lose it now is a terrible shame and, I feel, a great mistake. Please bring back our show!!
Sinking Atlantis
Today I read the news that Stargate: Atlantis is being cancelled at the end of this season.
Sad, yes but hardly unforeseeable. This has been coming for a while now.
Ironically though, the seeds of the show’s undoing were sewn in some it’s best episodes.
At the end of Season 3, the Replicators attacked Atlantis which resulted in the city having to be moved from one planet to another. To the uninitiated, this might seem like a bit of a stretch but all the necessary up front work had been done. The story worked. It was executed very well. Even the transition from Elizabeth Weir as leader to Samantha Carter.
Season 4 even saw what is generally regarded to be one of the best episodes of the series to date in “Be All My Sins Remember’d”. The episode is the cataclysmic end of the Pegasus Galaxy’s own race of Human Form Replicators and is a testament to just how much can be accomplished in forty four minutes of tightly plotted sci-fi television. At the end of the episode, the recently missing and presumed dead Elizabeth Weir appears very much alive and with just a few words reminds us of that old adage: “What is past is also prologue“. It was a hell of a set up. It was hard to imagine what they would do to equal it, much less top it.
That ending though… it made me believe they had already thought of that. That they had
a plan already worked out. And by some reports, they did. There was a story they had worked out and ready to tell with Elizabeth Weir. For her own reasons, the actress who played Weir, refused to return to the series to see that storyline through. Not sure if that was the first nail in the coffin or the last but it was an important one. For my money, Elizabeth Weir was the heart of the series. When you lose the heart, the body ain’t far behind.
Ever since the beginning of season 4 there have been signs that something was amiss
with Atlantis. Maybe they disagreed with the direction (or lack thereof) the series was taking.
I strongly support this petition. Atlantis is a quality show, and deserves to run as long as SG1 did. Remember, the fans helped SG1 back from the brink after seasons 4, 7, and 8, as well as reinstating Daniel Jackson. We have the power, let's show those executives we want to keep Altantis alive!
I support this petition. This is one of the few quality science fiction shows on the air. If it is truly cancelled what will become of the SciFi Channel? Should it be renamed the D-rated Monster Movie Marathon Channel? If that is the case, then there won't be much reason for me to tune in anymore. I sincerely hope TPTB come to their senses and reverse this unfortunate decision.
I support this petition. Give us a Season 6 of Stargate Atlantis! Movies would be better than nothing, but would be no comparison to the series format.
