My wife and I have enjoyed this series since it began. After it finally started getting decent again, they pull it on a high-note? Estimated 2 Million viewers an episode, I would say that it's still getting the ratings to say it's successful. It would be nice to see this go 7-8 years all in.
This show is one of the only reasons I even have cable TV. It is the sole reason I watch the sci-fi network anymore. If they had more shows like this one they wouldn't be doing as badly as they are. Instead of cheeZy reality shows, terrible movies and reruns of ancient crap they should have more quality programming like this one. Maybe all the disposable cheeZy reality shows, terrible movies and reruns have created a mentality that they can throw away everything. Well they just threw away this viewer if they do cancel SG:A. All their quality programs are getting canceled with nothing to replace them. There will be a rating slaughter if they don't wise up.
I support this petition 100%. If the execs of Sci Fi go through with the cancellation of Atlantis then they need to revisit the meaning of what the words Sci Fi stands for.

I support this petition. SGA has too much potential and too much support to end now. I'm certain it can survive at least another two seasons. Sci-fi could very well air this show along side the 'Stargate Universe' series for at least a season, just like they did with SG-1 when SGA was new.
Instead of canceling Stargate: Atlantis, which is idiotic when it's so well loved, why not do something interesting like develop the characters, develop the Wraith. I'd love to see more about the Wraith. Having the Atlantis expedition find an alternative food source and working on making peace with the Wraith would be very interesting. Atlantis still has potential as a series; don't throw it away!
SciFi does seem to have a penchant for shooting itself in the foot. They buy great shows, cancel them, and then replace them with some "NEW AND IMPROVED", pathetic replacement. (geared towards the "younger" viewer) Don't forget, us "Older Viewers", are the ones who pay most of the bills.
I support this petition, due to the fact, I love Atlantis, and the fact, that the plot-line is pretty much a redress of Stargate Infinity. So any Stargate Fan that saw that show, has a good Idea about what's going to happen to Universe out of the starting gate. I will not watch that show, unless Atlantis stays on-air.
I support this petition because cancelling Stargate: Atlantis in favor of some stupid Dawson's Creek in space version of Stargate is sickening. I want Stargate: Atlantis. I DO NOT WANT STARGATE UNIVERSE. I WILL NOT WATCH IT.
SGA is a great show with interesting characters and does not deserve to be treated as second best to SG1 and SGU. MGM and SciFi are making a lot of people upset with this and are going to lose a big number of fans/consumers. I believe the fans would prove that keeping SGA is a good idea if they got a chance to.
If you have the money to put into multiple movies AND a new (ridiculous-sounding) show, why not do Atlantis justice and give the actors and fans another one or two seasons. You can't toss Atlantis aside and expect us to mindlessly follow on to the next thing, the next movie, the next spin-off you'll give half your attention to. This show deserves better and so do its (many, many) fans.
I support this petition. MGM give us at least 1 more season of SGA. And if you are going to make SGU dont make it 4 teenagers and dumb it down. If they are on a ship then make them go to worlds all the time dont be like Star Trek!
