Just because the 2 Stargate SG-1 movies (Stargate Ark of Truth and Stargate Continuum) had so many DVDs sold, Doesn't mean a thing with Stargate Atlantis since a lot of us know that Stargate SG-1 has lived twice as long as Stargate Atlantis. Stargate SG-1 had so much it can work on still has, But even still Stargate Atlantis hasn't even looked into the number of possibilities with this franchise. Still SG-1 had 2 movies to work on, ending SG-A and bringing out only ONE 2hr Movie is an insult.

I can NOT believe that SCFI and MGM Studios would turn their back on SGA and the fans that support the show. A couple movies will not cut it. It was time for the orginal Stargate to end... not so for SGA.

It isn't only that many people like the show, both it and SG-1 are among the most popular SciFi shows yet SciFi channel canceled both of them and refused to allow other channels to take up the show because of contracts.
There's an OK episode here 'n there, but it's hardly groundbreaking or original SciFi. Shows get cancelled, new ones appear -- sometimes they're great, this petition won't change things so just look forward to the new TV season and enjoy what's comeing :)
The reason i love the Stargate shows is the characters. When SG1 was canceled i could understand it, it had run its course over its 10 seasons but SGA is still so fresh! In the last episode they even said there was more technologically advanced civilizations out there and what about the Rodney and Keller love interest. Stoping now just to make an extra bit of cash is insulting to the hardcore fans...
I watch this show regularly, and I feel it is the best scifi show currently on television. On a side note, I am 21 years old, and I do not feel that the show needs a "younger vibe." I am extremely disappointed to hear that it was canceled. I feel this is a huge mistake on the scifi channels part.
I support this petition. After watching one of the best SGA episodes of all of the 5 seasons, "The Shrine", I read that SGA is being cantelled. The network & studio have decided to shove one of the best actor ensemble TV series off the proverbial cliff to make room for a new Stargate show?!! If the actors were ready to quit, then I would say let it end. But reading about the idea for a new show being pitched last year - the expense of it & having to probably wait until SGA was through. Well, I guess the only ones missing the thrilling excitement of this announcement are the fans of this particular series, but not the franchise. I for one won't be watching the new show. I'll support SGA through the season and its movies, but I'm not going to invest my time in the next one.

I support this petition. Atlantis deserves at least one more season, the fans are in virtually unanimous agreement on this point. It has too much potential and the move to cancel it will only serve to alienate a significant amount of the fans.

I support this petition. Please dont take this off, this is the one show I look forward to every week. My husband and I watch it faithfully and DVR it. We DVR all the reruns to. I have the DVD sets, at least give it enough time to end properly. Please dont cancel SGA.

Nothing morre should have to be said, look above my comment and see all the dissapointed people, i grew up with sg1, now its down to atlantis which is the only remaining show that tied in with sg1 (now gone..) reconsider what your doing- not just for profits and ratings, but for us- the fans.
I support this petition. Look at how successful SG1 was, SGA will stay strong for 10 seasons, maybe not go that far, 7-8 seasons would be, the war against the wraith can not be solved in the rest of s5 and a movie, that is called rushing it and will totally screw the story to bits.
I support this petition. SCI-FI channel is making a big mistake, like they did when they broke up the trifecta of Battlestar, SG1, and SGA. Those 3 shows all made for the best Friday night for TV viewers. I have only one reason to watch the SCI-FI channel now, Eureka! Bad decision the powers that be.
