what the hell are these people thinking, they decide to kill a "DECENT" show but yet broadcasting companies allow shows like "young and the restless", "bold and the beautiful", "the view" to fill our heads full of shit. People rise to the Cause and sign because the time of good T.V and Sci fi is coming to end if SGA is not spared

The Mystery is gone too. You've killed off to many possible branches of stories. You have 2 galaxy and you telling me you can't come out with more interesting stories.

its frankly quite sad to cancel atlantis, its still so good to watch and its my number one show. to me, atlantis has surpassed sg1 *gasp* in preference
I support this petition. It is a stupid idea for Mark Stern to end such a great, fantastic series!! I have been a fan of the Stargate series since I was 8 from the very first SG1 episode to air and I love watching Stargate Atlantis. That's coming up to be close to 12 years now that I have supported both shows. SG-1 had a great run, but Atlantis has the potential to keep going on and even push further than SG1. Don't kill the show, it will be the 2nd worst mistake you will make. All that is happening on the network is great shows being taken off and replaced with cheap crap that nobody cares about. And now, think about that further down the line. What happens when all of the great shows get taken off? All you're left with is crap, but hey, you'll see that you're still getting ratings but it's only because that's what you're now forcing us to watch. Then that gets taken up and replaced with even more worst cheap crap. Can you see the pattern here? Can you see the destruction about to be caused? I'm going to get on my hands and knees here and practically beg you to keep Stargate Atlantis as a tv series and not cancel it. Please, please, PLEASE, don't cancel it. If it's because of the US ratings, think about all the other countries that watch the show. That's right; the stargate series is popular world wide! It's the best SciFi show, none to mention the best and damn well greatest show out of any other show! Atlantis is a keeper, don't be stupid and let it go. How many other shows out there are popular worldwide for all the right reasons? You won't find many, I guarantee it. So again, PLEASE keep Stargate Atlantis, it has so much potential and I want to see it as a tv series - NOT as a series of movies (though great idea AFTER SGA is allowed to run for as many seasons as it takes!)

I support this petition. Come on, MGM. This show is not stale, it's not old, it's not boring, it hasn't run out of steam yet. There are so many bad shows on TV, how about axing one of them?
I have struggled with depression since before my eightth birthday, and maybe it will sound silly to some people, but there have been days when something as simple as being able to escape for an hour every friday night keeps me going through the rough patches. Finding out that SGA got hit with the cancel stick was like a physical blow. It left me breathless, queasy, and very, very sad. Please save my show. It has saved me.
Come on guys, I used to look forward to Two TV shows every week. Now I only have 1, and you are trying to take that away from me. Seriously.... I don't want a new show with a new team, new character development, and all the other new crap. I want my atlantis, the characters that i have come to love, and they are just starting to come into there own. Get over yourselves and stop worrying about making more money. For christ sakes if you manage to make 500k off of a show thats still more than you had before so suck it up and let the people who have backed this for such a long time keep the thing we look forward to on fridays... Please.. o by the way this is the kind of crap that makes me wonder why people want to cancel great shows like this one... but crap like All My Children and General Hospital run a new 1hour episode ever weekday all year long for like 45 years.. Lets do the math really quick on that one ok.. 52 weeks in a year 5 days a week that 260 episodes a year.. times 45 years thats ummmm lets see here. 11700 episodes or something like that are you SERIOUS... and your going to cancel sg1 after like 212 and atlantis after 112 WTF... I support this petition. How can you cancel Atlantis? It's bad enough SG-1 had to go (you got some definately unhappy fans about that), but now you're taking away our link to SG-1? You do realize don't you, that there are a vast number of fans for the Stargate franchise? What's the big idea? Don't you care what the fans think? And Sci-Fi Channel...WHY are you taking off great Sci-Fi shows, and adding shows like ECW? When did wrestling become Science Fiction?? Well, I guess I have no reason now to have the Sci-Fi Channel.
This is an injustice to the writers and actors of the show. They are quite capable of lasting longer than the original Stargate series, adn deserve a chance to continue growing.
How can you do this to another fantastic sci-fi series?? Great, well-developed characters in a situation that presents an endless well of potential plotlines - and you cancel it??? Why does sci-fi always have to be this way? I though the Sci-Fi Channel was going to be different, but.....nope. Very disappointing, and a genuine shame.
