Cancelling for DVD movies a stupid thing to do. I bet if they went another season the series would go up in ratings. They are screwing over the viewers. SG-1 went TEN seasons and they still went out strong. This is a total mistake on both their heads. All they are doing is losing the faith of their fans.
I support this petition. Honestly, they've been gearing up to end it for a while, tieing up loose ends and stuff. It was bad enough that they ended SG1 but to end this and replace it with something aimed at "younger audiences"... too far (though i did always like SG1 better)

The movies are not enough! You can't have the character based episodes that help us love the individual characters so much. In the movies you have to concentrate on the plot and...it's just not enough!

Both this (Stargate Atlantis) and the original series (SG-1) were amazing series and with a lot of potential and fandom to go on forever. I can't believe how networks exec can be so dense as to choose junk like "Who wants to be a superhero" or wrestling (for crying out loud what's sci-fi about that) over real sci-fi

I support this petition. This season has been the best so far by a long shot, and I would hate to see it end like this. Sure, Atlantis has screwed up big time in the past; but now that everything's going their way, they should have the chance to explore every more. I understand the decision to can SG-1, since it was 10 years old; Sure, I love the news that a new Gate series is coming; but that doesn't mean you cancel the one that still tons to go. First BSG, now SGA...sad SciFi, sad...you're only putting the noose on your necks.
