The rational behind the cancellation is flawed in the extreme--as a 29 year-old female, I may not be the "right" demographic, but I have supported this show with DVD purchases, legal downloads, and regular viewing. I'm not sure what more TPTB want from their fans. Alienating an entire segment of the fanbase is *not* the way to draw viewers into the planned new series, either.

Why cancel a successful show in hopes Universe will be just as successful? In case Universe doesn't do so well in the ratings Atlantis would be something to fall back on. If the Star Trek franchise had another successfull show running the same time as Enterprise, they would probably still be a series running today. Having two shows airing would also help to support one another like Atlantis and SG1 did. Thanks.
