I support this petition. I'm in the military and SSW is the one time each year that my mom and I get to spend anytime together. I've flown in from Iceland to be there and she always flies in from Oregon. This has been an event that we look forward to every year. There's no other event like it. Please don't cancel it.

I find it ridiculous that the so called aim of Soap Nation is to reach more fans when the first event scheduled starts in California. That state gets more Soap Star events than any other except for possibly New York. We, the fans of Florida get one event a year that we can affordably attend. Do not take that away from us.

This event is something that fans look forward too year after year, this is something that we start planning for the nexy year the day after the event is over.
This event is attended year after year by loyal fans who have come from all over the county and meet up year after year.
The fans love it, the stars seem to love it everyone seems to love it except you.

I support this petition wholeheartedly. I have attended Super Soap Weekend for the past 3 yrs. now w/my entire family, & I was greatly looking fwd. to it this yr., as well, that is, until I heard this most saddening of news. . . .How can you do this to the fans who support & give the ratings to these very shows that these great actors represent daily?! My hallway is adorned, as well as our daughter's bedroom w/the NUMEROUS framed & personally autographed black & white photocards that the actors who attend these events yr. after yr. sign for us. Now, how are we supposed to be expected to come up w/such personal experiences, interactions w/our favorite stars, & one-of-a-kind souvenirs that you don't even have to pay for in the form of both autograph cards & a photo-op when you're taking all of this away from us starting at the end of this yr.?! PLEASE LEAVE OUR SUPER SOAP WEEKEND ALONE!!! We like it just the way it is--in our backyard in sunny Orlando, FL! Like they always say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" It's unbelievable that they would even consider cancelling SSW. It is the most important of the fan events. It would be such an upsetting loss.

Most of all she loves General Hospital, so please keep up the good work by making dreams come true, and keep going with the Super Soap Weekend for my friend and for all of those that come to your events.

We are HUGE GH fans and this is the only way we can get to meet the stars... during these times of econmic crisis a cruise is so out of the ?? Please reconsider for those who are not rich enough to travel the country!!!
