Tony will leave sometime before the relaunch of The Bill in November 2009. Graham Cole has said that Tony will be sent to training school and possibly appear in odd episodes. Producers feel that Tony Stamp 'doesn't fit' the show's 'new dynamic', and so the character has been axed.
