This show more than deserves a finale, not clips of retrospect. A finale with the honors it deserves after 8 years and numerous awards, this show deserves a finale of dignity and respect for the hard work and great actors.
WITHOUT THE VIEWERS,THE WRITERS,THE DIRECTORS,CAST ETC..WOULDN'T HAVE A JOB ,SO WHY NOT HAVE A LITTLE RESPECT FOR US TO GIVE A SHOW THAT I WATCHED FOR 7 YEARS A PRPOER ENDING..IF YOU TEAT UR VIEWERS LIKE THIS HOW DO YA'LL EXPECT US TO SUPPORT YA'LL??
I think it is very sad that they are not going to do a series finale for Girlfriends. The show has been on for 8 years and right when it seems like they are going to give everyone what they want Bam! they hit us with it being cancelled without at least letting us and the actors say good bye to the characters we all know and love. I think that we need to stand up as fans and say that we are not going to take it and demand a formal finale and the opportunity to say good bye.
I feel that is sad that after 8 years the cast of Girlfriends, did not get the respect of a proper end. Please do not take girlfriends off, why are all of the African American shows being cancelled on the UPN/CW, Eve, One on One, Cuts, Half
Girlfriends has been on the air for 8 years now...the notion that this successful show not be given a proper send off is ridiculous. It is not only disrespectful to the actors and producers who made the show wonderful but it totally disregards the faithful fans of the show who have watched and throughly enjoyed for so many years. Please give Girlfriends the proper send off that it deserves.
Girlfriends has been a great show to watch and relate to. I understand that time moves on, but at least give us the chance to say good-bye one last time. This would be wonderful for all the loyal viewers who have watched all these years.
I agree prominentafrican-american s inthe media setting positives examples, somehow always reiceve the short end of the stick.Positive Black telvision alwyas seems to disappear. This was my FAVORITE TV show, and I am appauled at the CW's actions.
it is a shame one of the few good black shows is being taken off the air, it makes me feel the the cw does not care for its black veiwers, and i for one will not be watching the cw anymore
The tv executives are always trying to remove positive shows from television. Therefore, since they feel it's necessary to cancel this show that's considered to be positive among all audiences (not just african american) at least give it a series finale.
This cannot be it1 I understand that you guys want to cancel it, but at least give us a proper ending! I so badly don't want to see this show off air, but these things hapen all the time with African American tv shows!
As a devoted fan of this show for so long I would like to see an ending. I am 28 and have watched this show all of my adult life. These woman inspired me, showed that black woman can do and achieve anything I am saddened to see it end.
I love this show and even if this was supposed to be their final season they should still be able to end it. If for no other reason, b/c we loyal fans deserve it :o). I would hate to see a great show like this ended without a proper conclusion.
I am so tired of them cancelling Black shows but the other shows that should have been cancelled 8 years ago are still on the air. Everytime we get shows that are positive and no one is on drugs and killing everyone they cancell them. Pretty soo there isnt gonna be a reason to turn on the t. v. Really since all these stupid reality shows are airing. Than they wonder why these kids dont have positive role models. Heck you cancel them before they even have a chance!!!
As fans we are not asking for much, just that please air a REAL series finale and not a collage of past episodes. Girlfriends has made CW alot of money, they atleast deserve to go out with a bang. Or maybe the CW is really as racist as people claim it to be
This was the best show ever. I would like the Cw to put our show back on. Girlfriends was unlike no other show. I am really upset about this please reconsider.
I've loved this show from day one. I am a avid fan and would appreciate a proper goodbye for these characters that we've all grown so attached to. So many of our shows just end without any type of warning or ending I think the fans and actors deserve at least that.
I feel it is a disgrace to abruptly cancel such a postive series for all people, not just african-americans! Why leave the viewer and fans hanging? Can we at least have a movie or a few more episodes to tie up loose ends?
