any other show would get a send off after 8 years why not this one? Jericho and Veronica Mars came back even with bad ratings and this was one of the top black shows so it should come back also. Jill Marie should also be back. Make it happen

I love Girlfriends I just started watching the show when on matarnity leave during the summer and I saw a lot of the episodes I enjoyed the show I was realistic. my son watched it for years and told me it was good didn't believe him. I heard it on the radio that they were cancelling the show very upsetting they need to give it a proper ending. and not end it like it all of us also a good show. very sad to see it go...
Please give Girlfriends the proper series finale that it deserves. CW/UPN are known for abruptly ending shows without a proper send-off. Don't do this for Girlfriends, please.
I like other fans have tuned in every Monday night at 9 (even for reruns) just to watch Girlfriends. CW do you really think this is a smart move, I mean come on now you are talking about losing a major demographic here, fans who have supported this show and gave consistent ratings for 8 years. This isn't a race thing or an emotional thing...this is based off what is right and what is wrong. Canceling any show without a proper finale is just WRONG!
This is a slap in the face. When have you've known a network to cancel a show, which has been on the air for 8 years, and not have a series finale. I am going to ask all of my friends, black and white to boycott your network.
Girlfriends deserve a finale. This is so wrong, we the fans supported this show for so many years. WE DESERVE SOMETHING!!!! How about WE take a strike and start looking at BS reality shows or better yet STOP WATCHING THE CW TV.
I think it's really disrespectful that this show is not getting the proper ending. This show has flourished even without publicity. It goes to show how the CW doesn't care about African American shows.
I love this show ,I just do not understand,other networks did with The Jefferson's,and that was on for Fourteen seasons .This is such slap in the face of your veiwers ,for which T.V. is made for and why you guys make the money in the first place. I say do not just give us some little hourly last show. We want a full 2nd half of Girlfriend's season, what I mean is 4 more shows and then for the 5th let it be the finale show. Besides you owe it to your fans of this network ,you WILL STILL NEED US TO WATCH FOR FUTURE SHOWS!
If CW decided to cancel the show and not bring it back for the nineth season for whatever reason,that not what I want but whatever...but to not let the current season end correctly isnt fair to the viewers who have supported them since 2000. This was such a positve show for black america and I feel the show deserves a proper ending....GET IT DONE!!!
I believe that they definitely deserve a real Series Finale. Why are they doing that? because its a black show? thats not fair. After 8 seasons they deserve a respectful going away party/finale
GIRLFRIENDS has had a passionate following that has laughed, cried, debated, gotten angry, and fallen in love with the various characters and plot twists that have been featured. The program regularly has made people laugh with its very identifiable and entertaining characters and the crazy but realistic situations in which they have been portrayed. The show has entertaingly yet thought-provokingly explored some very serious and complicated issues. And GIRLFRIENDS has been nominated for and/or won Image awards and Emmys over the years. I argue that a show that is as funny, thoughtful, and celebrated as GIRLFRIENDS deserves a final episode worthy of its history and the talents of the people involved in it (past and present)...and that is respectful of the fans who have followed this wonderful program during its years on the air. Please give serious consideration to ending GIRLFRIENDS' illustrious history on television with a final episode bringing appropriate closure to its stories.
I absolutely love Girlfriends, and I am gutted that the show has been cancelled midseason. Please give us a final (double length) episode to tie up all loose ends, and give Girlfriends the proper send off it deserves.

For 8 LONG years we have watch faithfully, waiting for Joan's crazy ass to get married. We knew the show was ending but we took solace in knowing the series would end with Joan finally getting married. Please do not take that away from us.
Why would you end Girlfriends? That show is much better than Aliens in America! How dumb is the CW Network to cancel a fantastic show. Next will be The Game then ANTM! I can't believe you a replacing shows with dumb stuff like Girlicious and Pagent Queen mom
I am very angry to here that this show has been canceled. It isn't that many black tv shows as it is. Girlfriends is may all time favorite. I really love this show and I don't want to see it go. I know it can last alot longer than just 8 seasons.
Even if the CW made one last hour-long finale, we as loyal fans will have closure. Losing Living Single was a hit and very abrupt but at least we got a sense of where each character was headed. The network owes it to those that have put money in their pockets for many years.
This is a wonderful show that should not have been cancelled. I love watching the the show and I relly don't want to see it go. I want the show to come back all together.
I was totally upset!!!when CW abruptly ended the series of Girlfriends. They owe it to their loyal viewers to give a final episode. It would be nice playing the show out to have Joan get married to know what happened to Maya and Lynn. If this is the way CW does business, well, I find that rather disgusting!!!!
