I support this petition. I believe "all networks" should stop trying to make "US" disappear. We are talented and entertaining. Girlfriends is one of the best shows ever created. A lot of women of all colors and ethnic backgrounds can relate to this show. At the least, the network could give them the proper goodbye instead of aggitating the fans even more.

Its not often that you can find a show that reflect the ups and downs of one's own life. For me both Girl Friend's and Sex and the City has parlayed many event's of a single woman and allowed me to know that I am not alone and having great sensative, caring and get in your butt when you are screwing-up sister friends, is worth every bite of our fall out. Like Sex in the City 'I' need to know how 'My Girl Friends' personal and professional decisions end or are resolved. Please give me that moment to say, I am and will be alright. Thank You
Not only do I support this petition, but I must say that I think the show Girlfriends was treated unfairly by the network these last two seasons. I noticed less advertisement, and time slot changes without notice to the fans. Tracking down the time of your favorite show is no fun especially a properly show like Girlfriends. I was very disappointed to learn that girlfriends was cancelled. This is not the first time that the CW has abruptly cancelled a show without a proper ending leaving story lines unfinished. The same was true for Half and Half, as well as All of Us. Just at the cliffhanger when you wait all summer for the show to return to see how things played out the show is cancelled. I could only imagine how fabulous Joan's weddding would have been and how many things would have occurred to have her think that her dream would not be realized. Many of the shows that have been added to the CW line up , I don't watch but the few I was faithful in viewing were cancelled. Bring back Girlfriends.

In today's political environment, the talk is of change. Well, it's time for Hollywood to change. How about treating all things equal and give this show a finale as you would other shows.
I support this petition. This was the original Sex & The City only for us - black people. Black WOMEN. It was real, it was authentic, it was relative. In a day & age when we still don't even have haircare product advertisements, this show was ALL ABOUT US. It's bad enough to take it away from us - the very least the CW network could have done was give this landmark, progressive show a proper send-off. Give us that little, at least.
I love the Girlfriends. This was the only show that I could relate too, now what do the African-American community have to watch now? I support this petition.
Its really sad that most african american sitcoms never get a final episode. This was one of the best shows running and has a huge fan base and to just end it lets us know the CW does not care about what the viewers want.
I am outraged that the CW and CBS is not giving one of the best television series on the air, a proper farewell. You don\'t have to be black to appreciate this show. With all the crap that IS on the air these days, to pull the plug on an award winning program that has been on for 8 seasons, and then have the audacity to not give it a proper finale, makes me question the network\'s moral character. I love Girlfriends and all I want is a decent ending to this series!
Without a proper season finale, I see no reason in continuing to buy the dvds seasons. What is the point if the collection would never be complete. Please give Girlfriends the proper finale it deserves.
I believe Girlfriends needs a proper ending, especially if there are no more seasons. I find it very interesting that there are seriously really good shows on, yet they are cancelled. I also think it has to do when it being a black tv show. Honestly some shows, i.e. Reaper and Gossip Girl, are absolutely horrible and I don\'t understand as to why these type shows can stay on the air, but a show that portrays Black women in a positive light, for the most part, has to be cancelled. Obviously, it says something that you would have this many people in favor of a show returning, that you (the network) need to take a look at the quality of the the other shows, and consider the quality of it. This was one of the longest African-American tv series of all time they shouldn\'t just be taken off the air without a proper good-bye.I have watch white tv series that have last for 10-11 years a they get a proper ending and half of them aren\'t as good as girlfriends so please treat them with the respect they deserve.Please
They should really give a proper ending to this show. You can\'t just make us excited about Aaron coming back and then not even continueing so we can see what happens. Atleast make one 1 hour long episode saying what happens in everyones life. Be fair to the remaining fans of the show!
My wife loved this show. So please bring the show back so I can stop hearing her complain about how badly it ended. Besides there are so few shows that show blacks in a positive light, the least that should be down is to end the show properly so devoted fans can move on.
Please give the Girls proper closure to a job well done, they earned it...or is it just a Black Girl Thing?? The show was a success and the only thing keeping it from its due recognition is the fact that it was Black women, this is 2008...if we can\'t have our 40 and a mule at least let us have our GirlFriends (LOL)
I am absolutely shocked and dismayed that this network has cancelled one of the most well written, talented shows on the air. This show has survived for eight seasons, it has survived being moved around in various time slots, different days of the week and different networks! STILL THE AUDIENCE FINDS IT EACH AND EVERY TIME!!! With that, the show has an audience!!! I\'m not sure if my words will make an impact, but I would like to, at minimum, to see the show back for a finale. I would love it tremendously if the show could be brought back to a different network all together.BRING BACK GIRLFRIENDS!
