Please have a proper fianle for this show. I must admit that I was disappointed and angry when Toni left the show but I have continued to watch the show. The producers have done a wonderful job keeping the show interesting. As a thank you to the fans, please have a finale for the show.
I think that it is a total disgrace as well as an injustice to the fans. How can you as a producer and writer just let the show go. This is just not right! I wonder what really happened.
there needs to be a thing where there should not be a time limit on good tv shows. Because another good show is Law and Order and I believe it has been on tv for a long while. Why does it seem that black shows get a time limit and white shows do not.
it is truly garbage how that just try and abruptly end such wonder show that i tuned in for so long it is very sad how they disregarded us fans without giving us closure
we need closure to a show that we've been following for 8 years. Its unfair to take the show off and not end it with all the questions answered and everyone happy. Give them a nice send off its the right thing to do!
I think that the fans and the show deserves a proper series finale, and not just a retrospective show. I have faithfully watched Girlfriends for the past 8 seasons. It's the least CW could do for such a great show.
I am very disappointed that you all decided to end Girlfriends without a proper series finale, just like you did for One On One and Moesha. Show your African American viewer more respect than that!!!
I have been a faithful watcher of Girlfriends since its first premier. With a run as long as the Cosby Show, it is only right that the network provide them with a proper send off. It's not very often that an African American television show can last this long and make such an impact on its viewers.
It is very disappointing to see how the CW is treating not only the cast of Girlfriends, but the fans of Girlfriends as well. So many of us have followed this show since day one and really would like to have some closure on the ending of the show. How do you just let someone get involved for eight years without even saying good by. I believe that at this point, we all can be understanding to the fact that the strike caused turmoil everywhere, I think that most of us as fans are just requesting closure. We'd like to see a real series finale that gives some kind of outlook on how everyone ends up. Its sad to say, but so many of the African American shows are treated this way. I personally can't remember a real series finale for any of the African American shows except for The Cosby Show and A Different World, how sad is that because that was over 10 years ago.
I understand that the show has to come to an end but I've been with the show since its beginning and I love it. I am writing, begging you to please present a series finale that will bring closure to the characters that we have come to love as a part of our family. Thank you for making this possible.
i think that it is only fair to the viewers, and the cast for girlfriends to have a proper series finale. as viewers we have been loyal to the show after all the many changes. the cast has been loyal for 8 seasons. i am tired of our african american shows not getting a proper send off after many years of putting money in the pockets of the network. our counterparts always have huge send off that are heavily advertised even if you do not watch the show you know about their finale. i think it is unfair to cancel girlfriends period especially after a 3 mos. writers' strike but if it must go they need to do it right!
Please at least have a season finale. It would be a dis-service to the fans not to. I WILL NOT WATCH THE CW IF THEY DONT GIVE THIS SHOW A PROPER ENDING!
I am so tired of the CW network. It seems as if all they want to do is cancel all the positive black shows. When they took over for UPN, they got rid of
Please, reconsider not cancelling the girlfriends. This is the first time I have been able to watch a television show that relates to a black woman like myself.
I have watched Girlfriends from day 1. It is quite unfair to just ax the show without any closure. I understand about the low ratings, but what about something for those of us who are/were dedicated viewers?
At least give the show a real finale. They have been around for 8 years and we have known the ups and downs of their lives. Just give the show a proper ending .
Many African Amaerican females really enjoyed watching the show. We related to the charaters. WE were finally into the Joan character finding happiness and then, the end of the show. We love happy endings, so end the shoe in a befitting manner or continue the show. It was GREAT.
Since the CW has cancelled this show I refuse to watch other CW shows that I loved for the simple fact that they've dumped this show leaving many lines unfinished and fans unhappy.
First of all, I know it is wishful thinking to ask to keep Girlfriends on the air but i am begging to please give it the proper send off!!! The fans deserve that much!
This is a damn shame. Even if they are going to cancel it, they could at the least have a finale. Let Monica and the baby and for God's sake let Joan get married. The icing on the cake would be bringing Toni back. This is how they always do black shows. This from the sames network that canceled 7th Heaven, gave them a finale, brought it back for antother season and had another finale. Don't they deserve a finale after 8 season.
If this is the last season, I can understand .. Girlfriends has had a good run, but the fans need to have a conclusion..not be left hanging. At least give us one final episode.. a one hour series send off. the fans deserve that much.
Girlfriends was such a refreshing positive show that brought a great deal to the television landscape. Please CW, give the fans the honor of sending these positive characters off into TV history with a memorable finale. The entire theme of the show revolved around Joan finding true love and happiness. Now that she's found it, please allow the fans to celebrate in her joy and wedding day bliss with her - one more episode please! At least give us the honor of sending this show off in style. Girlfriends finale parties, final send off gettogethers, etc.
