Save Microsoft The Gaming Zone from Losing Lobbies and Tournaments

Microsoft pays Participate Systems of Chicago (tel. 773 289-5000), bought out last year by OutStart, millions of dollars a year to manage the Member?fs Plus program at Zone.com, including the website http://www.memberplushq.com. Microsoft would like to eliminate these costs to help make Zone.com profitable. In addition, Microsoft is concerned about one day being sued by the MPlus volunteers as AOL was sued in 1999.
Right now Microsoft is testing a new Backgammon room with no mplus and, much worse than that, no lobbies. To try out the new room, you had to make an entirely new passport at http://zonenxt.msn-int.com/ and a new nick and then go to http://zonenxt.msn-int.com/en/backgammon/zpadefault.htm.
However, now it is available at http://zone.msn.com/en/general/article/genbckgtelluswhatyouthink.htm with a regular passport, but you must sign in to passport before going to that link. The red button lets you tell them what you think.
We think that lobbies are a key part of Zone, often attacking more people than the games themselves. That is why we are starting a petition to save Zone in its current form.

I do enjoy meeting people there, making friends, have a good chat and of course, play tournament and host tournament as well... and I just wish it will stay open.
