because I love the Supersonics being in Seattle. It has it's own style and the Supersonics have always been a part of that. Please don't throw it away!
The Sonics were the first pro franchise in Seattle, they were the first to bring a championship to Seattle. There is no way that losing them is acceptible. We need to keep them here.
The Sonics are the only professional franchize to win a championship in seattle and the organization and players embody the character that makes our Seattle more special.

The Sonics have been my team since birth... I live in Alaska, and so can't get to any games, but they are [and need to continue to be] the SEATTLE Sonics. Or, at least Renton. Even Bellevue would be welcome, at this point.
I don't want to see the team leave it's not fair to the players and fans. I love both the Storm and Sonics more so the Storm but it's not right. The Storm won a championship Whats gonna happen to the teams if they do move will all the players say? I would do anything to keep the teams in Seattle! GO STORM!

The Seattle SuperSonics NEEDS to stay in Seattle. It will always be the "Seattle" SuperSonics. There's nothing else that will be the same. Oklahoma not OK! This is our team and we need to keep them here at home. Go Sonics!
I'm not really from Seattle, but it is the only team I've ever rooted for. I've moved 13 times and the sonics are the only team I've really been able to call "my team."
I support this petition because the city of Seattle is home to some of the most enthusiastic fans of the world,and they would give anything to keep their NBA team.
I've been a Sonics fan for 13 years now, ever since I was a kid. Some of my best memories were made with the Sonics, and I want to share that with my future children. I bleed green and gold. I live and die for the Sonics, and will continue to do so until my dying breath.
This is my team. I along with many other SEATTLE Sonics fans have supported this team through the playoff runs and during the rain. Taking this team from such a loyal fan base after 40 years would be devastating.
the impact on the community is beyond what people think. The Supersonics were our first major professional team, and our FIRST champs. A Seattle without the Supersonics is no longer a world-class city.
because everybody loses if the Sonics leave. I'm a Sonics nut, but even if you aren't a fan at all, cities do not recover economically when they lose a major sports franchise!!!
because ever since i can remember loving basketball, i have loved the sonics, through the good the great and the bad, and i want to be able to see my team play, so they should stay where they belong, in Seattle
because I have been a Sonics fan for my entire life and losing them to a small market city would be devastating. They are a great franchise and do a lot more for the community than just play basketball. They help make our community in Seattle a better place to live by helping people in need. I always hoped that when I got older and had a family that I'd be able to take my son or daughter to a game and see the joy on their face as the Sonics have always put on mine.
