I can't believe the Sonics are leaving; Seattle is where the Sonics belong, they're a historic team, and moving them to Oklahoma City (of all places) is a disservice to the city of Seattle, the NBA's history and true basketball fans.

I'm only a casual NBA fan at this point with no particular allegiance to Seattle but I respect their fan base and what the franchise has done for the league and what it means to the city. This has to be stopped. BTW, I think OKC does deserve a team but NOT this way.

because the Sonics are Seattle. It is unfair to the fans of this team that they will probably be ripped from the womb and moved to OKC because the city of Seattle screwed the franchise with poor revenue sharing and non-support of the team in other financual respects. I don't blame the recent ownership group (Shultz et al) for selling the team. However I do blame them for selling to a group that is obviously primed on moving them.

Why would we spend money to turn Key Arena into a new venue with no tenant and no viability when we could just use that money to keep the team and revenue?
