We are attempting to improve the safety of the residents of Sheffield Park. We recently had the speed limit on Shefield Park Drive reduced from 35 mph to 25 mph. That was a difficult fight, but one that was worth it for the safety of our neighborhood and children.

We now wish to add additional stop signs at critical location along Sheffield Park Dr, where speeding is still a critical issue.

We also recommend painting crosswalks at all stops signs, and at any point where a park path crosses over a street to an adjacent park path OR sidewalk.

One additional 2 way stop will be requested to be installed on either side of the cross walk leading to the newly installed park. The park is so close to a long stretch of street that wondering children risk running or falling into the street. A stop sign will ensure that all traffic at that point is traveling at a safe distance and fully aware of the park surroundings.

We are also requested the township install no soliciting sings at both neighborhood entrances. We have been overrun by solicitors of all kinds over the past year and it is getting worse as the neighborhood gets larger.

Please see the attached map for the recommended locations of the 4 stop sign areas.

Location #1 - 4-way stop at the furthest east intersectoin of Normandy Drive and Sheffield Park Dr.

Location #2 - 3-way stop at the intersection of Chantry and Sheffield Park Drive where the park path crosses over to the lake path.

Location #3 - 3-way stop at the furthest West intersection of Normandy Dr and Sheffield Park drive. This location is in the newer phase 2 area WEST of the Parade site.

Location #4 - 2-way stop on Normandy Dr where the new community playset is located.
