The purpose of this petition is to let the Key Biscayne Village Council and Wallace Roberts Consultants know that we support the proposed ordinance which would restrict future development of the Sonesta property. This ordinance is designed to limit any new construction on the site to a structure similar in size and function to the current Sonsesta Hotel. Thus, the ordinance limits development of the property to a structure between 80 and 120 feet tall, with a setback of 100 feet from current homes (the current Sonesta Hotel is 110 feet tall and is more than 100 feet from existing homes). It also limits the size of a hotel room to 1000 square feet and requires that it function as a traditional hotel room, not as a part or full time residence.

I oppose this petition. We need a mixed-used property at the Sonesta\'s location.

I got the same tramadol attack... well, not the same, because it was only about 20 comments instead of 90, and i t have any filtering set up, and I just deleted them one at a time... hmm.. the only thing really in common was that it was about tramadol... what filter do you have set up that caught them all?

The Key has reached a population threshold with the Ocean Club. Another development would push this even further.
