PARAMOUNT - It is really sad how African American sitcoms and movies are devalued and are not marketed like others similar to them in this industry. It was bad enough for the fans that this popular show was cancelled. PLEASE RELEASE EPISODES 2-5 FOR THE FANS WHO HAVE BEEN PATIENTLY WAITING FOR 2 YEARS FOR THE OTHER SEASONS!
I AM SO UP SET THAT THEY DIS NOT RELEASE THE OTHER SEASONS OF THE DVD IS KEEP WATCHING SEASON ONE OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I THINK IT WAS A BAD DECISION TO LOYAL SOUL FOOD LOVERS
Please release Seasons 2-5 on DVD. Paramount is losing so much money from not releasing them. I am a huge fan of Soul Food and am just waiting for the next seasons to come out.
It is such a great show. And since I do not watch television I enjoy it when great series are released on DVD. Where are seasons 2-5. Every other show on TV has been released. What's up?
I am such a big fan of Soul Food. I did not start watching it until it was time for it to go off. I would love to have the episodes I have not seen on DVD! And my husband is going back to Iraq for the second time and also wants to take some SoulFood DVD's with him to keep him keep his mind off of where he is at.
We are very unhappy with the choice that Paramount made to not release seasons 2-5. We valued this series along with many other African-American families have that can relate to the "Joseph Family". Please reconsider, and hear us out. Thanks.
Paramount please consider releasing the remaining seasons on DVD. If not, alot of loyal fans will be let down, especially those who never had cable. Thank You
I just started watching the edited re-runs on BET and I am hooked. Every black family can relate to each episode. This is a goldmine in the making by selling it on DVD.
Hi, I'm 21 years old and have been in the military since I was 17. I was nice to have a show to tune into when I was away from home that reminded me of home. I rushed out and both the first season because I missed a lot of it. And to be honest about the whole thing Soul Food and Queer As Folk were the only reasons I even had Showtime as part of my cable package. I don't understand how newly released show can come out with a DVD and older shows like Buffy and Sex in the City can have all 8 or 9 seasons on DVD in wide dissemination and the only all black mini series on Showtime can only release the first season and think that the fans would be satisfied with just that. I implore you to release seasons 2-5 on DVD and you will be shocked and amazed how fast they fly off the shelves, probably mainly because everyone will be afraid that we will only be able to buy them for a limited time. Another problem why the first DVD didn't sell fast enough is because the average price for the dvd was $65 and that's pushing it for some people who can't afford to buy them, next time make the price more reasonable and watch the money roll in.
I have been waiting for the remaining seasons to be released since season one was printed. Paramount please get the ball rolling on releasing the remaining DVD's. Let the fans determine if it will sell well. How can success or failure in sales be discovered if the DVD's aren't released.
It amazes me how Sex in the City has all seasons on video already but we are still waiting for season 2 of Soul Food. I am an avid fan of the show. My girlfriends and I had viewing parties religiously. What needs to be done to get the other seasons on DVD? Could we come with it already!!!!
I loved the first season as did my whole family and friends who also bought the first season. We’re all hungry for me, living in England means that the only way we’ll get to see the remaining seasons is once they’re released on DVD.
Please…please release season 2-5 on DVD and market them probably so that you get a favourable return on your investment.
Yours, a soul food fan
Ian
Please release Season 2-5. I was an avid watcher of the series, having seen all five seasons. But that does not mean that I don't want to own it on DVD. I have the 1st series and would love to own a complete collections. This show was very powerful and showed blacks in a positive light. Something that is not always done on TV. We can get all the "stupid white shows" on DVD everywhere. But the one black series that has people talking about it years later, is not available for purchase. One of those things that make you say, "Hmmm"!! Please give the people, and myself what we want. Is that too much to ask?
I want to see the 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th seasons of Soul Food. How come all the "White" t.v. sitcoms have all their season's out (Seinfeld, Friends, The Simpsons), but when it comes to the African American's #1 hit drama, we gotta wait. "That Ain't Right."
I'm want it myself also. paramount, please release the 2nd through the 5th season on DVD so I can satify my fix. I had to get the Soul Food movie just to curve my appetite; but that didn't help.
soul food was one of the best shows that I have seen on cable. It really doesn't make any sense to release the frist season, without releasing all of the other seasons.

Please release the season 2-5 of Soul Food. This series had an incredible team of writers, actors, etc!! It's a shame you haven't released the the season 2-5. For God's sake, I have 2 DVDs of Ma and Pa Kettle!!
This is some really bad crap! I am sure if this was a black show where there was a bunch of killing and negativity each week, all 5 seasons would be out already. I would like to see the whole series on DVD, but I will not hold my breath! Hell.. They had all nine seasons of friends out on DVD within two freakin years! And no, I have not watched an episode of that stupid show. Lets wake up and release Soul Food Episodes 2 - 5 on DVD!
This is ridiculous!!!. I thought this was 2005 not 1955. Why does it take all of this to get an African American DVD released. I'm sure if Soul Foood was not positive, then all of the seasons would already be released. But they would rather release DVDs such as Queer as Folk...what is that about?
Soul Food is the most positive black series I have ever seen. It's real and shows a side of black families we rarely get to see and that's positive and "normal" so to speak. Soul Food doesn't focus on the "bad" image of blacks that society protrays in the world. It shows a old fashion wholesome goodness side to blacks that makes it refreshing to watch because of it's positivity. Please release the remaining seasons so that we have something for our children to watch that doesn't look down upon but lifts the lives of blacks up. Thank you.
