I truly beieve that there are thousands of people who are waiting for the release of the rest of soul food series dvd's. If Paramount is concerned with the lack sales for Season 1, then they should take a good look at themselves, for instance mek the future releases less expensive, because initially season 1 cost about $80.00 dollars when it was originally released. Maybe it should the price of what Sex in the City costs now since they have released all of the seasons you can find them at Wal-Mart for less than $30.00 dollars. I urge paramount to release seasons 2-5 now.
It really seems to me that Paramount doesn't care about their African American Audience. They can't say that sales from Season 1 were low because I had a hard time purchasing the DVD set. Everytime I went to Wal-mart and other stores they were always out and waiting on another shipment. This series was the first African American series that I can honestly say that me and my entire family identified with. The Joseph sisters became a part of my family and I learned very valuable lessons from them. The love in their lives was real, the drama in their lives was real, the lies and betrayal were real. These are things that are all real in the African American community and other communites and the producers of this show found a very tasteful way to capture these elements in this series. I am very eager to purchase the remaining seasons so I can watch what happens. Paramount don't let African American community down.
Please don't keep us hanging on a string this way! It's not fair or right! Why should other far cheesier shows like Friends and Joey get DVD releases so quickly, yet sterling shows like Soul Food languish in off-air limbo?
It seems crazy to release just 1 season on dvd and leave so many fans hanging. I would like to see another season on dvd, just as so many other less popular shows have done
The rest of the seasons of Soul Food needs to be put on DVD and released in stores everywhere. Why just release the 1st season and not the rest? I can't get enough of this show! Please put seasons 2-5 on DVD
Please release the 2nd edition of SoulFood. Man, I was with the Joseph sisters every wednesday night when it came on and I miss the show. I watch it when it comes on BET but it is just not the same with all the commercial and edits. WE WANT SOULFOOD ALL SEASONS (2 through 5) NOT JUST SEASON 2. But the release of Season 2 would be wonderful.
I love Soul Food, I tried very hard to watch all the episodes. Unforunutly I could not due to my work schedule. I used to have people tape the shows, but some people you just can not count on. As soon as I seen the first season in the store I grabbed it right away. So many people have borrowed it that now its starting to get scratched up. We need more shows like this that put black people in a more positive roles as a families trying to sick together. Even though I support all of the black actors/actress out there, some roles are not cut out to show the realism that Soul Food had brought to the table. Please network t.v lets get this project moving.
Please release Seasons 2-5. I have been waiting for them. I am truly a fan of Soul Food was very sad when it ended. Why do you not have all the other Seasons on sell. I know some shows that I see on DVD for sale were not as huge as Soul Food. Please release the remaining seasons.
please put alll the seasons on dvd, on BET they cut stuff out and the story is soo good. I didnt get into soul food until aftr it eneded so it would be nice to finally see everything the way it was supposed to be seen.
how is it that you can find Buffy the Vampire and not Soul Food on DVD. I enjoyed the series and am anxiously awaiting the release of seasons 2-5. I would definitley make the purchase.
I love Soul Food and was very moved by the first season. I am now waiting for the second season to come out. I am currently deployed and a lot of my friends order DVD series out here. Since I let them see the first series they hound me about what happened in series two. Please get it out there, it is the realest drama I've seen.
Soul Food is one of the most ground-breaking dramas of our time. It is awful the lack of credit this show gets for the doors it has broken down in Hollywood. If the DVDs were to be released, I would definitely buy all of them. I already have the first season, and I am waiting patiently for the rest.
THIS SERIES IS THE BEST THING GOING. I HAVE BEEN WAITING AND WAITING TO COMPLETE MY COLLECTION. I WATCH THE FIRST SEASON OVER AND OVER. PLEASE PUT THE REST ON DVD. THE FAN BASE IS OUT THERE.
because Soul Food gave to me the sense of family. You fell in love with these characters and wanted them to be successful and to continue to love one another. And in some cases you applied some of the lessons learned on the show to your own life. PARAMOUNT is foolish to not release this DVD. But I will say I just spoke with someone there and apparently they are gearing up to release the second season but they are having "clearance" issues with some of the guest stars who were featured on the show...my whole thing is, didn't these actors release their "likeness" the moment they signed on to do the show. It makes no sense to me...but hopefully, this will be cleared so they can finally release the show. Even the operators at Paramount were like..yeah we want it released too.
I think that given the amount of black african american shows on TV this show really deals with the real issues.
So i am putting in my two cents to request the final chapter to be release.
Thk you
