I'm writing to request that you release the remaining seasons of soulfood on dvd. Soulfood is a very good series that shows the reality of the african american family. I never watched it until i got season 1 for my husbands birthday. It is an excellent program. Please put series 2-5 on DVD.
I live in Australia and we have yet to even see this series out here on TV but I did buy the first season DVD and I would like the opportunity to be able to buy the 2nd season DVD.

THERE ARE RECENT TV SHOWS THAT ALREADY HAVE MORE THAN ONE SEASON OUT ON DVD BUT WHAT ABOUT SOUL FOOD DO THEY EVER PLAN TO RELEASE SEASONS 2 THROUGH 5 ANY TIME BEFORE THE WORLD ENDS OR IS IT JUST BECAUSE IT'S A BLACK SHOW THAT DOES'T SHOW BLACK PEOPLE IN A NEGETIVE LIGHT.
My wonderful women Barbara loves the series. We bought the first season, and she watches it over and over. Nothing would please me more then to be able to buy the rest of the seasons for her. I know several people in my community that love the series as well, and would love the oppurtunity to purchase the entire season as well.
I would like to request Paramount Home Entertainment to release the remaining seasons of Soul Food on DVD. The intention of releasing the first season, is that other seasons are to follow. Any strategy that should follow a June 2003 release of the first season, should be implemented with future release dates of Season 2-5. As a devoted fan, please consider our requests.
Paramount, PLEASE DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND FAIR! Release Soul Food on DVD so that EVERYONE, not just black folks but whites and other races can enjoy and appreciate! We have waited FAR TOO LONG, so wake up Paramount and hear our voices!
I have personally implore friends, family and co-workers to sign the above petition to get the Soul Food DVD boxed sets available for the general public, the reason it might not have not sold well was because there was a lack of interest from white retailers and most didn't know who I was talking about when i tried to get it. I went to a local Walmart and they had it in the stockroom still boxed up...that's the irony behind the whole story, it was sabotage from the beginning, No advertisements whatsoever was done here in Louisville Ky and I know since the series went off the air I introduced a lot of people to the series by lenting out my DVD of it, now they want a copy and want the remaining seasons but to no avail. There is countless money to be made by Paramount. But my question is why did our 1st boxed set have such a huge pricetag on it?I think @$39.99 should have been a more reasonable price. $80.00 is like a $100.00 to most folks and then some will pay whatever just to have it. But please reconsider this injustice that is hurting many of us diehard fans, just dubbing the series on tv is crazy, plus Friends, Sex IN the City didn't have to do this. Why can't you guys step up to the plate. or Maybe we should take this to the NAACP and such other organizations and tv outlets to protest this injustice, we miniorities are tired of having to begg for things that pertains to us , it should be a given as well
There are too few African-American series on DVD. Had it been a black person picking cotton or tap dancing, we would see it released no problem. However, there are Black people that feel Soul Food was a series that truly pictured the Black family and the things we live everyday. We want this and you want our money, so let's give the masses what they want, more Soul Food!!
Everyone I know (read: a whole lot of folks) bought the 1st season of Soul Food on DVD and even more people would buy the second to fifth seasons, especially since the show gained its popularity after season one! Whether or not this is the actual reason for the delayed release is beyond me but somehow, I don't buy that excuse! So please drop the evil acts and release Soul Food on DVD! It is the right thing to do!

How silly is it that every DUMB white show has been released on DVD and one good black show hasn't!! After all this time, what excuse do they have for this type of behavior! Thank You BET for protecting and encouraging black entertainment. Why do we have to wait for a bunch of white executives to decide whether or not an excellent black show can be released. Any white show good or bad has been released! And they say that racism is becoming extinct. FAR FROM. I'm up here in Canada and we don't get showtime, or have access to the website. I've started watching Soul Food on BET. Since then I am addicted to it. PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! release it on DVD. Season ONe just teases you, I will definitly buy al the seasons once released.
It is a shame that we must go through such extremes to get Soul Food on dvd season 2-5. This show has brought Showtime and Paramount unlimited success and a huge fan base...why is it that the O.C. and Dawson's Creek have six or seven dvds out and SOUL FOOD only has one....get it together QUICK!
It's simple...SF is the longest running african american drama on tv and we are deeply saddened to see it go. The least you can do is release the remaining seasons on DVD so we can stop "harasssing" you. Thank you.

I've been waiting 2 years for seasons 2-5. I recently went to Best Buy asking have season 2 came out yet and the clerk said that people ask for it many many times--the demand is there...What is the problem?
I cannot believe that you would leave us hanging like this, I know that this show received excellent rating as well as numerous awards. In my opinion the reason sales was so low is because the price for season one was to high (it's still to high, unless you purchase from ebay). Other shows that has been released first season is far lower than the price for Soul Food. I am a big fan of the show and price to me was no object, but there are other fans out there that cannot afford to spend that kind on money. I implore you to please consider releasing Soul Food, season 2-5. Also please review the market and set the price based on that. . . .Thank you for your time and condsideration.
What is the hold up? Why do our shows (black) get put on the back burner?Sells may have been low for the first season because of the price. But major fans like me, bought it anyway. Hurry up Paramount, we want our Soul Food.
