We, the dedicated fans of NASCAR racing, are requesting the networks who cover NASCAR races utilize a split screen format for commercial time. Racing, being a live-action sport that does not break for commercials, is greatly affected by the many commercial breaks. The loyal race fans, who patronize many - if not all of the sponsors, are forced to miss lap after lap of exciting racing while commercials are broadcast. With a split-screen format, everyone would be happy! The advertisers would get their paid-for allotment of time(including the TV sound), while the fans would not miss any of the LIVE action. We fans understand the necessity of advertising in keeping NASCAR races on TV, but please understand how painful it is to the fans to miss such a large portion of the race while the same commercials play over and over.
