I support this petition because Samantha and Nellie are clearly the best known American Girl dolls, they have been around the longest, the old Pleasent Company icon was a girl playing with a Samantha doll, and after Mattel took over American Girl, LOTS OF HORRIBLE THINGS HAVE BEEN HAPPENING...... THE NEW MATTEL GIRLS like Julie ( no offense ) DONT HELP ANYONE LIKE THE ONLD ORIGINAL ONES! The new girls only help themselves, not girls in need! Sam helped the orphan girl nellie, Addy and her mother went on a mission and were in need, but they chose to help other people, etc. SAMANTHA AND NELLIE ARE GONE, BUT LET THEM COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

I support this petition because this summer my mom told me that she can finally buy me an american girl doll. My most favorite american girl doll is samantha i admire how rich she is,her looks, & her personality. I was really looking forward to buying her. Also, brushing her glossy hair everyday & playing with her. Even though im 12 yrs old, I totally look up to samantha & her beauty!

I find it in my heart to say that Samantha and Nellie should not retire..EVER!!!! They were the ones that started "AMERICAN GIRL" So what is the point of retiring them? "AMERICAN GIRL" should just leave them on display and keep selling them in honor of the start of "AMERICAN GIRL". I think that if "AMERICAN GIRL" retires Samantha and Nellie, alot of people will not like "AMERICAN GIRL" anymore. Now please, Dont retire Samantha and Nellie!!!
