Anne Lawrence has consistently advocated theories of dubious scientific merit and should not be allowed to serve on the APA committee.

I don't feel Anne is a true TS, but a male fetishist who underwent surgery in an attempt to rule over true-TSs. I feel that this person can only damage the cause of true-TSs and ISs. Despite what Anne alleges, true-TSs are neither homophobic gay men nor are they straight male fetishists. True MtF TSs are not men at all. I recommend a search for "The Anne Who Would Be Queen." That paper shows what sort of person this is. Anne spreads the same harmful rhetoric that TSs are part of the LGBT/TG/Queer community, the same community that harms and marginalizes TSs and ISs. MtF TGs are men and part of the queer community, and MtF TSs like me are women who were born with the wrong parts due to a condition of birth and are part of mainstream society. Those who want TSs to have their rights will do what they can to distinguish them (the medical crowd) from the lifestyle/choice crowd and promote them as normal mainstream persons who were born with the wrong parts through no fault of their own.

I believe that the transvestite fetishist called Anne Lawrence who has a record of imposing his fetish's onto women who were born transsexual, should be kept very far away from intersex people. Anne Lawrence's track record around transsexual people does make me question his motives, for trying to interfere in childrens treatment and possibly get access to children. Lawrence's track record with transsexual people should by now have raised alarms bells wiht any ethical clinician. Lawrence has teamed up with Zucker who is known for his near patholigical hatred of transsexual children. He refuses to see any difference between transsexual children and homosexual children, claiming both are the same, while in full knowledge they are not. Dreger another person from this team refuses to accept teh reality of women born transsexual and is determined to impose Barbie and Kenism on intersex children. I have heard of this person referred to as a 'Volunteer Sonder Kommando' by some Jewish transsexual and intersex people. After looking in depth into this person and the people assocciated with the DSD project I agree with referring to Dreger in such a manner. As for Bailey and Blanchard the people that Lawrence thinks are wonderful. Bailey has a track record of sex wiht participants in studies, so allowing him to have anything to do with children, wether it is writing guidelines or worse accessing them could be extremely disatrous. You do not have to look to far under the surface at Bailey and his friends to find NARTH and other right wing organisations which are racist, puritian and religeous bigots. The Entire Disorders of Sexual Differientation (DSD) project is actually the original methods used by John Money in his treatment of intersex children. Under tehse guidelines if a child is wrongly assigned a sex, they are classed as transsexual with all the medical, legal and social abuse that goes along with that classification.

MtF TGs are men and part of the queer community, and MtF TSs are women who were born with the wrong parts due to a birth defect and are part of the mainstream community. If you want TSs to have their rights, then do what you can to divide them from TGs and LGBTs and promote them as normal mainstream women who were born with the wrong parts through no fault of their own. It is impossible to be pro-TS and pro-LGBT (or even pro-TG) at the same time.

Ann Lawrence has been an anethma to the TS community , and her inclusion will only further any truths sought in this area.

Anne Lawrence's philosophy is a compendium of re-hashed pseudo-science by discredited researchers who have no respect for the scientific method and instead manufacture "evidence" to fit a pre-conceived idiology.

I think Lawrence as a self confessed autogynaphilliac is of doubtful value on the APA panel and would givebiased opinions.

I object Anne Lawrence being on this commitee because a)she has misrepresented plethysmograph studies in transsexuals as found by Dr. Lori Brotto's team b) although she has an MD and a PhD, she lacks formal training in counseling as a recent IFGE Tapestry article shows c) her medical ethical practice has been called in to question d) she has distorted the findings on the BSTc in transsexuals e) her theories of a paraphilic model are not in accord with clinicans who have the most clinical experience working with transsexuals which

I support this petition because I belive both Lawrence and Zucker have compromised their professional integrity in agreeing with the research done by Michael Bailey

I am transgender myself and this is very important for our future and well being. Equal rights for all as we are human beings with emotions, dignity, and deserve respect like any other.
