Petitioner Omonte Ward hereby petetions Coventry Homeowners Association variance from RULE Section IV. Single Family Area Restrictions, Subsection L & M, because strict application of this rule creates hardship for residents.

The Rule:
1. Coventry Homeowners Association (Section IV. Single Family Area Restrictions, Subsection L. Overnight Parking states, Overnight parking in the street will not be permitted except on an emergency basis.)
2. Section IV. Single Famly Restrictions, Subsection M. Ungaraged Vehicles states, No more than three ungaraged vehicles will be permitted to be parked consistently on the premises, and these must be in the driveway or on a parking apron off the driveway. These vehicles will be restricted to licensed operable automobiles, mini-vans and pickup trucks not exceed 3/4 ton in capacity.
"Consistently" is the key word here. Subsection L apply. This does not preclude visitors for extended stays. Communication with the neighbors is key to precluding any misunderstanding and consideration for the situation. A fourth family vehicle parked over night on the unit's driveway for more than seven days is in violation of this restriction.

1. The Petitioner Omonte Ward is located at 102 Shorewood Trace, 757-593-1149.
2. Petitioners respectfully request that CHA remove the no parking on street rule.
3. Residents may have 1.5 or 2 car garages but some have the need to use it as additional storage.
4. Some residents have children that may drive, at times it is more visible to park on the side of the street while the parents park in the drive way.
5. Residents agree that allowing street parking DOES NOT make the neighborhood any less attractive or lower the property value.
