WE THE PEOPLE OF LADY LAKE, GRIFFIN VIEW DRIVE, AND SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOODS PETITION YOUR SERIOUS ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING:
It has come to our attention that our neighborhood gas station, Sunoco CO-OP 2535, has been put on the sale market recently.
As you well know, another very large gas station has come up in the immediate area and is doing very well. We, the people of Lady Lake, Griffin View Drive, have remained loyal to Sunoco. Sometimes at the expense of higher prices, and with extra efforts to schedule fuel and conveince items, specifically to patronize Sunoco CO-OP 2535.
Why have we remained loyal to Sunoco you ask? We will collectively tell you why. The reason for our loyalty to the Sunoco is due to the extraordinary people who work there, day and night shifts. They have serviced us through rainstorms, hurricanes, and even a tornado that devastated our neighborhood.
We consider the employees of store #2535 a part of the many families that make up the family of neighborhood. With that, we intend on showing them our support and not standing behind them, but beside them during this transiton in their workplace, just as any family would do!
Therefore, we propose that Sunoco secures positions with the new owners of store #2535 for all the employees currently employed there. Of course, only a written agreement, guaranteeing hours and wages for the same employees would be acceptable.
We feel that is the very least you can provide these exemplary employees, who through extraordinary service, has provided you with a loyal customer base.
Otherwise, we are ready and willing to boycott all Sunoco stores and the future owners of store #2535.
